Backrooms Morphs 2: How to Get All 4 New Morphs (Roblox)

The four newest morphs in Backrooms Morphs 2 are all modelled on characters from The Amazing World of Gumball, and none of them are handed out at spawn. Each one sits at the end of its own short route through the yellow maze, and each is collected as a single yellow pickup that awards a badge and the matching skin.

Quick answer: Run four separate trips from the lobby. Gumball is behind the brown door you open with the GreenKey below the “DON’T JUMP!” hole, Nicole is inside the vent above the dresser in the Floppa hallway, Darwin is at the top of the rope shaft in the ice room of the “Cold” area, and Richard is behind the poster in the room past the “GAME MADNESS” stretch.

Two of the morphs branch off the same hallway, so it helps to know which landmark each route depends on before you start walking.

Note: each route starts from the lobby, so reset or rejoin after every unlock rather than trying to chain them together. The pickups stay unlocked once collected.

How to get the Gumball morph (GreenKey route)

Leave the lobby into the Backrooms and walk past the row of buttons under the “Choose wisely.” sign. Do not stop to press them; the route you want continues down the hallway.
Follow the wall with the “TURTLE” drawing on it. This corridor leads to the Floppa monster, which patrols the open section ahead.

Keep moving past Floppa and look for the switch on the wall. Interacting with it raises the shutter next to it.
Go through the open shutter and continue until you reach the hole marked “DON’T JUMP!”. Jump in anyway, then follow the painted arrows through the tunnels below.
Pick up the item at the end of the tunnel run. The screen confirms New Tool GreenKey once it is in your hands.
Carry the key to the brown door further along and use it there. The door opens onto the Gumball morph, which you collect to unlock the skin.

How to get the Nicole morph (vent above the dresser)

Nicole shares the first half of the Gumball route, so this is the fastest second trip to make.

Reset back to the lobby and return to the same Floppa hallway you used for the GreenKey run. Ignore the wall switch this time.
Find the dresser pushed against the hallway wall and climb on top of it. From there you can reach the vent opening above.

Crouch into the vent and follow it inward. The yellow badge pickup sits inside; grab it and the Nicole morph is unlocked.

How to get the Darwin morph (Cold area rope shaft)

Reset again and take the right-hand path from the start, heading toward the section signposted “Cold”.
Keep your distance from Ben the Dog on the way through. There is no item to pick up in this stretch, so run it cleanly.
Drop down the hole at the end of the cold section. You land in the ice room with a rope running up a vertical shaft.
Climb the rope all the way to the top and take the yellow badge waiting there. That collection unlocks the Darwin morph.

How to get the Richard morph (arcade machine and Game Madness)

This is the longest of the four routes and the only one that needs a working machine interaction partway through.

From the lobby, make your way to the area with the red and blue buttons and climb the shelf beside them.
Continue from the shelf into the pool room. The arcade machine sits inside; interact with it to open the way forward.
Cross the “GAME MADNESS” hallway and go through the door at the far end. The room beyond holds the oversized Richard monster.
Jump up behind the Richard poster on the wall. The yellow pickup is tucked behind it, and taking it unlocks the Richard morph.

How to confirm a morph unlocked

Every one of the four pickups behaves the same way. Standing on it shows a Collect prompt, and taking it flashes a “SKIN UNLOCKED” message on screen along with the matching badge award. After that, open the morph menu and the new skin appears in your list, ready to equip and wear on the spot.

Common reasons a morph does not unlock

  • Gumball: the brown door will not open unless the GreenKey is already in your inventory, so the tunnel run below the “DON’T JUMP!” hole has to be completed first.
  • Gumball: skipping the wall switch leaves the shutter closed, which cuts off the entire lower section.
  • Nicole: the vent is only reachable from the dresser, and you need to crouch to get through the opening.
  • Richard: the path past the “GAME MADNESS” hallway stays shut until the arcade machine in the pool room has been used.
  • Any morph: walking past the pickup is not enough. You have to trigger the Collect prompt on the yellow item itself.

Once all four are banked, the badges stay on your account, so a reset or a fresh server will not cost you any of them. Swapping between Gumball, Nicole, Darwin, and Richard is then just a matter of opening the morph menu and picking one.
