Ninja Time: How to Unlock the Envy Clan and Indra’s Susanoo

The exact spin odds, quest triggers, and boss kill that turn the Envy clan into Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Susanoo.

The exact spin odds, quest triggers, and boss kill that turn the Envy clan into Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Susanoo.

The Envy clan is the Indra Otsutsuki bloodline in Ninja Time, and it sits at the very top of the clan pool. Rolling it is only half the job. The clan’s real payoff — the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, Indra’s outfit, and the three Susanoo forms — is locked behind a hidden questline that will not appear until you have used the clan’s own abilities enough times.

Quick answer: Roll Envy in the Clan spins menu (0.20% chance), use Envy abilities 20 times to trigger the hidden quest, accept “The Darkness Unveils The Truth” from the God NPC on the mountain near the village’s large tree, use Envy Mangekyou abilities 20 more times, then kill a Red Eye Member boss — the Itachi (Raven) boss counts — to unlock the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan, Indra’s clothing, and the Susanoo nodes in the skill tree.

Envy clan spin chance and where to get spins

Envy is a top-bracket clan with a 0.20% chance per spin. There is no alternate path to it — no shop purchase, no quest reward — so the only variable you control is how many spins you throw at it. Stockpile before you start rolling.

Spin sourceNotes
CodesRedeemed via Menu → Extra Menu → Codes; usually 8–50 spins each
Daily login rewardsMenu → Extra Menu → Rewards
AchievementsAwarded as you clear milestones
Confirmation tokensDropped by bosses and earned in arena mode
Robux50 Robux per Clan Spin; a 2X Clan Spin Luck gamepass also exists

New accounts start with 10 spins, which is nowhere near enough at these odds. Extra clan slots are Robux-only, so if you are rolling on a single slot, every spin overwrites whatever you were holding.

Roll for the Envy clan

From the main menu, press Select and choose the character slot you want to reroll. Anything you spin applies to that slot only.
Open the Spins menu and switch to the Clan category at the bottom of the screen. Your unlocked clan slots appear as spin buttons above the reels.
Press Spin and keep going until Envy lands. Expect to cycle through Red Eyes, Purple Eyes, White Eyes, and other eye clans repeatedly before it shows up.

Tip: pair the clan with a matching Family. Families only grant passive bonuses, but a matching Clan and Family combination gives 25% increased damage.

Unlock the Tomoe modes in the skill tree

Envy abilities are not handed to you with the clan. Open the Skill Tree in-game and spend points on the Envy branch, starting with the Tomoe modes — you need a mode active before the clan’s attacks come online. Each node costs points and several have their own requirements.

Once unlocked, drag the abilities onto your hotbar. These are the moves that matter for the rest of the process.

Trigger the hidden quest: use Envy moves 20 times

The questline has no NPC marker until you earn it. Go anywhere you can hit something — a training dummy works — and use Envy clan abilities 20 times. The counter runs in the background, so you will not see a progress bar while you do it.

Only Envy clan abilities count. Basic attacks, element jutsu, and anything from another clan slot do nothing for this counter, so make sure Envy is the clan you have equipped on the active character.

Find the God NPC and start “The Darkness Unveils The Truth”

Head for the mountain near the large tree in the village. The NPC is labeled God, and the HUD shows a distance readout as you close in, so you can confirm you are walking the right way.
Talk to him and accept “The Darkness Unveils The Truth.” The objective is to use Envy Mangekyou abilities 20 times, which is a second, separate counter from the one that unlocked the quest.

Burn through those 20 uses and return for the follow-up objective, which sends you after a Red Eye Member.

Defeat a Red Eye Member boss

The second stage asks you to defeat a Red Eye Member. The Itachi (Raven) boss satisfies it — kill him and the objective closes out immediately. Be geared for it; this is a real boss fight, not a mob clear, and it is the last gate on the whole chain.

Completing it awards the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and Indra’s exclusive clothing. That is your confirmation the questline is done — if the eye upgrade and the outfit are not in your inventory, the final objective did not register.

Unlock the three Susanoo forms

Susanoo does not unlock automatically. Go back into the Envy skill tree after the quest and the Aura Form, Rib Form, and Skeleton Form nodes become purchasable. Buy them in that order — the tree gates the later forms behind the earlier ones.

Rib Form brings Frontal Impact and Skeleton Form brings Pandora Grab. Test both on a training dummy before you take them into a fight so you know their ranges and how long you are locked in the animation.

Why the Envy questline is not triggering

  • Envy is not the clan equipped on the character slot you are playing.
  • You have not unlocked and hotbarred Envy abilities in the skill tree, so nothing is counting.
  • You are hitting the 20 uses with basic attacks or element jutsu instead of clan abilities.
  • The God NPC’s second-stage objective needs Envy Mangekyou abilities specifically, not the base moveset.

Getting the clan is the slow part; everything after it is a fixed sequence with no randomness. Bank a large batch of spins before you sit down at the reels, and once Envy lands, the Eternal Mangekyou Sharingan and all three Susanoo forms are a single afternoon of work away.
