Roblox Innovation Awards 2026: How to Get the Free RIA26 UGC Items

The 2026 Roblox Innovation Awards ceremony is being broadcast inside a Roblox experience rather than only on external streaming platforms, and that distinction decides who walks away with the free avatar items. Four base UGC rewards are tied to the four featured games shown during the show, and they are granted to accounts that are actually sitting in the event server while those segments play out.

Quick answer: Load Roblox and join the [RIA26] The Block experience before 7:00 PM PDT / 10:00 PM ET on September 12, then stay in that server through all four featured-game segments. The Crown of Rivals, Dueling Defenses, Terminal Torch, and Duck Duck Duo drop into your inventory in-game; watching the same ceremony on YouTube or Twitch grants nothing.

Release time: September 12 at 7:00 PM PDT / 10:00 PM ET

Each reward is attached to one of the four experiences featured during the ceremony. The base versions, sometimes called the crystal variants, are the ones connected to the public livestream reward setup.

All four are priced at free in the catalog and were uploaded as Roblox-created RIA26 items ahead of the show. The Crown of Rivals is the one drawing the most attention, since Roblox teased a Domino Crown reward for viewers inside The Block.

How to claim the free UGC during the RIA26 livestream

Open Roblox well before the ceremony begins. Updates, logins, and download prompts are far easier to deal with at 6:45 PM PDT than at 7:01 PM PDT, when the first segment may already be running.
Join the official The Block experience and confirm the livestream screen is actually loading in your server. This is the only place the rewards are handed out, so verify you are in the real experience and not a copycat with a similar name.

Stay in that same server once the show starts. Do not server-hop unless your current server clearly fails to load the broadcast, because leaving mid-segment is the most common way players miss a drop.

Sit through each of the four featured-game segments. The rewards are spread across the broadcast rather than dumped at the end, so an early exit costs you whichever items have not been granted yet.

Keep the experience open until the reward notification or the inventory grant appears. If the ceremony introduces an extra quest or on-stage interaction, complete it right away instead of waiting for a later prompt.

Tip: the ceremony itself is watchable anywhere, and a second screen on YouTube or Twitch is fine if you want a cleaner feed. Just keep the Roblox client running in The Block, because the item grants only follow the in-experience session.

How to confirm each item actually landed in your inventory

Check your Roblox inventory after every featured-game segment rather than waiting for the credits. Each item shows up under your avatar accessories once granted, and a reward notification generally fires in-experience at the same time. Spotting a missing item after the first segment gives you time to fix your connection before the next three.

If an item does not appear, the reason is usually mechanical rather than mysterious.

  • You were not inside The Block while that segment aired, or you only watched the stream externally.
  • You left or rejoined during the segment, or hopped servers mid-broadcast.
  • Your server never loaded the livestream feed at all.
  • The show gated the item behind an on-stream interaction you skipped.

Silver and gold RIA26 variants are not confirmed public rewards

Twelve RIA26 variants exist in total, made up of the four base items plus a silver and a gold version of each. All twelve were uploaded as Roblox-created items, but that upload alone does not make them public freebies, and their catalog descriptions say only that they were awarded during RIA26.

Dueling DefensesSilver Dueling DefensesGolden Dueling Defenses
Terminal TorchSilver Terminal TorchGolden Terminal Torch
Duck Duck DuoSilver Duck Duck DuoGolden Duck Duck Duo

Simply standing in The Block should not be expected to produce the silver and gold sets. Those versions could be tied to competition results, specific participants or attendees, leaderboard placement, or another mechanic revealed live during the ceremony. No unlock method for them has been announced ahead of the show.

Fake RIA26 experiences and Robux scams to avoid

Event nights reliably attract copycat experiences with names promising a free domino crown. Skip them entirely, because the ceremony rewards are granted only from the official The Block server. No payment is involved anywhere in the process either, so anyone asking for Robux to “unlock” an event item is running a scam. The same goes for accounts claiming to sell or gift the silver and gold variants before Roblox has explained how they are earned.

The voting hub rewards closed on August 11

Earlier in the awards cycle, the same hub ran a voting phase from July 29 to August 11, 2026, with six separate UGC rewards tied to in-hub objectives: the RIA 2026 Welcome Cap for joining, the World Builder Hammer for voting in all 19 categories, the VFX Staff of Wizardry for a round trip through a nominated game portal, the Aura of Re-Animation for a single screenshot, the Programmer’s Scrolls for finding all seven hidden cubes, and the Musical Mindset Aura for clearing the hidden obby.

That window ended at 8:00 PM PST on August 11, 2026. Items claimed before the cutoff stay in those inventories permanently, but the objectives themselves are no longer available, so there is nothing left to farm in the hub. The four ceremony items are the only RIA26 rewards still in play.

Everything about tonight’s claim comes down to presence. Be in the server early, do not wander off between segments, and check your inventory four times rather than once. The winners are announced during the same broadcast, so you can watch the results roll in while the items land.
