Two of Fisch’s biggest destinations have been picked up and dropped somewhere else. Skycrest and the Drylands both moved in a recent update, which means the coordinates and walkthroughs players memorized around the Fischfest 2 island no longer point anywhere useful. The good news is that both islands are now easier to reach by boat than they were before.
Quick answer: Spawn a boat at Moosewood and sail toward Tidefall — Skycrest sits between the two. For the Drylands, travel to Scoria Reach, take a boat off the left side of the island, and sail a short distance.
Skycrest and Drylands locations after the move
Both islands are now anchored to landmarks you can already fast-travel to or sail from, so neither trip requires a special boat or a detour through Fischfest 2.
| Island | Start from | Where it is now |
|---|---|---|
| Skycrest | Moosewood | Between Moosewood and Tidefall, in the sky above the water line |
| Drylands | Scoria Reach | Off the left side of Scoria Reach, a short sail away |

Note: the waterfall is noticeably longer than it was before the move, so the swim up takes more time than veteran players will expect.
How to reach Drylands from Scoria Reach

How to confirm you are on the right island
Skycrest is confirmed once you are standing on the island above the falls and the Idol Favor system is available to you. That is the island’s own leveling track, fed by catching fireflies, pulling Skycrest fish, and finishing Idol quests, and it gates the Charm slots you unlock through the Crest Amulet.
For the Drylands, the giveaway is the terrain itself. You should see open desert sand instead of water, with the Claypans sitting dry until a Torrential Rain floods them, and Dunehaven’s village and merchant reachable on foot.
Gear you need once you arrive
Arriving is only half the job at the Drylands, because casting into sand needs specific equipment. Without it you will stand on a dune with nothing biting.
| Requirement | What it unlocks |
|---|---|
| Marrow Rod paired with the Sand Sifter | Sand Sifting, the mechanic that lets you fish the Drylands sand |
| Dune enchantment or Sifting affix on any rod | The same Sand Sifting access without the Marrow Rod |
| Dune Goggles | Cuts the dust covering your screen during a Dust Storm |
| Dunehaven Wraps | Reduces the health you lose during a Dust Storm |
Dust Storms are worth waiting for. They double luck, and they are the only window in which the Terrosunder can be caught, provided you meet the Sand Sifting requirement and fish near it without getting close enough to be killed.
Skycrest asks for progression instead of gear. The Abaia’s Chamber behind the Crystal Door only opens hunts once all 10 Sky Crystals are placed, and those crystals are spread across islands with Idol Level requirements attached, climbing from the free pickup at the Moosewood Lighthouse to the Infernal Sky Crystal at the back of the Scoria Mines.
Why older directions send you the wrong way
Almost every route written before the move routed players through the Fischfest 2 island — the clam teleporter from Moosewood, then a run behind the castle for the Drylands or a vertical waterfall behind the island for Skycrest. Those paths are tied to where the islands used to sit, so following them now leaves you circling an area with nothing there.
The same caution applies to written GPS coordinates. If a set of numbers predates the relocation, treat it as stale and navigate by the surrounding islands instead. Sailing Moosewood-to-Tidefall for Skycrest and leaving Scoria Reach on its left side for the Drylands are the checks that still hold.
Both trips take under two minutes once you know the bearing, which makes the move a net win for anyone grinding either bestiary. The bigger adjustment is mental — the Fischfest 2 island is no longer the hub for either destination, and any plan built around it needs rewriting.
