How the free head accessory was granted during the Roblox Innovation Awards broadcast and how to confirm you own it.

The Crown of Rivals is a free head accessory Roblox handed out during the Roblox Innovation Awards 2026 broadcast inside [RIA] The Block. It is a domino-style crown built around the game Rivals, and it landed in player inventories automatically rather than through a code or a claim page.

Quick answer: The crown was granted to players who were inside [RIA] The Block and taking part during the RIA26 livestream on September 12, 2026. That window has closed, so the only thing left to do is open your Roblox inventory, filter to Accessories and check for Crown of Rivals.

Crown of Rivals item details

The crown is a hat published by the official Roblox account. It uses advanced materials with an emissive mask, so the tiles on the crown glow rather than sitting flat.

How the crown was awarded inside [RIA] The Block

Everything ran through [RIA] The Block, the Live on Roblox experience that hosts the platform’s big broadcasts. Players joined the venue before the ceremony started, moved around the dance floor and the activity zones, and built up points while the show played on the main screen. Roughly 25 minutes of active participation was enough to hit the threshold for the blue crown.

The trigger itself was tied to the Rivals segment of the show, the head-to-head match between Nazni and KreekCraft. Once that segment finished, the Crown of Rivals badge was awarded to qualifying players still in the server, and the badge immediately pushed the head accessory into their Roblox inventory. No claim button, no redemption page, nothing to type in.

The same broadcast handed out three other accessories through the same system, each tied to its own featured game. Dueling Defenses, Terminal Torch and Duck Duck Duo all appeared as separate badges, and a Monstercat RIA 26 Vinyl Figure was attached to the afterparty set.

Check whether the Crown of Rivals is on your account

Because the grant was automatic, the fastest confirmation is the badge itself. The badge and the accessory travel together, so if one is there, the other should be too.

Open the [RIA] The Block experience page on the Roblox website and scroll down to the Badges section. Find Crown of Rivals in the list, where you can also see its rarity and how many players won it.

Switch to your own profile’s badge list to confirm the badge is actually attached to your account. Crown of Rivals should sit alongside any other RIA26 badges you picked up, such as Dueling Defenses, Terminal Torch and Duck Duck Duo.

Search for “crown” in the Roblox search bar and move to the Marketplace results. The search dropdown will offer game results first, so make sure you are looking at the catalog listing and not an experience.

Open your inventory and filter to Accessories, then Head. Crown of Rivals appears there as an owned item, and from that screen you can send it straight to your avatar editor.

If the badge is missing from your profile, the item was not granted. The usual reason is simple: you were not inside the experience when the Rivals segment ended, or you loaded in too late to build up enough points. There is no backup claim flow for missed event items.

Blue, silver and gold: Why most players could only get one tier

The crown came in three variants, and this is where a lot of players got tripped up. Only the standard blue Crown of Rivals was open to the general audience. The Silver Rivals Domino Crown and Golden Rivals Domino Crown were tied to the two competitors in the head-to-head matchup at RDC, the Roblox Developers Conference, with the winner taking gold and the runner-up taking silver.

TierWho received it
Crown of Rivals (blue)Any player participating in [RIA] The Block during the broadcast
Silver Rivals Domino CrownThe losing competitor in the RDC head-to-head matchup
Golden Rivals Domino CrownThe winning competitor in the RDC head-to-head matchup

That structure repeated across the rest of the RIA26 set. Duck Duck Duo, Dueling Defenses and Terminal Torch each had silver and golden versions listed in the catalog, and those higher tiers followed the same restricted route rather than being unlockable through normal play.

With more than 719,000 grants recorded, the blue crown is far from rare, but it is permanently locked to the one night it was given out. Roblox has not confirmed a new date or window for redistributing any of the RIA26 accessories, and event items like this are generally not reissued. If you missed it, the practical move is to keep [RIA] The Block on your radar and load in early the next time a live broadcast is announced there.
