Vicho’s shop is one of those stops the journal makes sound simple and the level design does not. The objective drops a marker on a building in Koenigsstein, you walk up to the door, and the game answers with a single word: Locked. There is no key hidden on a nearby guard and no shopkeeper to talk your way past. The way in is on the second floor.
Quick answer: The ground-floor door is permanently locked. Move around to the side of the building and use Coen’s vampiric teleport to reach the second-floor balcony, then enter through the upper door.
Vicho’s Emporium location in Koenigsstein
The shop sits inside Koenigsstein, and it becomes relevant once the objective Visit Vicho’s Emporium appears in your journal under the wider goal of rescuing Coen’s family. The journal entry frames it as an optional errand rather than a hard requirement, with Coen noting that while he is in Koenigsstein he may as well look in on Vicho’s shop and see whether anything useful is lying around.
Open the map and look for the yellow quest circle. Your current position marker is the fastest way to line yourself up, because the building is easy to walk past at street level once the locked door turns you away.

- The Visit Vicho’s Emporium objective active, so the marker points at the right building.
- Coen in his vampiric form, which is what gives you the traversal options at night.
- Shadowstep, the short-range teleport that closes gaps to ledges you cannot otherwise climb.
- Enough room on the side of the building to stand back and target the balcony above you.
Coen’s night-time kit is what makes the entry work. As a vampire he can run vertically up surfaces and teleport a limited distance to reach places the human version of him simply cannot, and the same abilities that let him feed also let him move through a city like this one.

How to enter Vicho’s Emporium through the second-floor balcony

If the teleport does not register, back up a step or two and re-aim. The ability needs a valid target within its range, and standing flush against the wall can leave the balcony out of view.
How to confirm you are inside the right building
The interior is dark and, notably, empty of a shopkeeper. Coen reacts to what he finds almost immediately, first with a line about blood, then a second one confirming it is fresh. That dialogue is your signal that you have made it into Vicho’s Emporium rather than a neighbouring building, and it reframes the errand from shopping trip to crime scene.
There is also a whip in the room that can be examined with the Inspect prompt. Coen connects it to the old practice of showing devotion to God through self-punishment, and points out that Brencis banned the practice, which is the small piece of story the visit is really there to deliver.
Loot inside Vicho’s Emporium
The shop is worth clearing out. Gold tableware makes up most of the haul, alongside currency and a couple of items with more specific uses.
| Item | Amount | Type |
|---|---|---|
| Denarius | 22 | Currency |
| Golden Chalice | 1 | Valuable |
| Golden Bowl | 1 | Valuable |
| Golden Platter | 1 | Valuable |
| Razor Claw Vial | 1 | Consumable |
| Vrakias Attunement | 1 | Upgrade item |
| Odd Rock | 1 | Misc |
| Old Blade | 1 | Weapon |
Some containers and items here come up with a Steal prompt rather than a plain Loot prompt, so treat the grab as theft and not a free pickup.
Once the room is picked clean and the whip has been inspected, there is nothing else holding you in the building, and you can drop back out the way you came. It is a short detour by design, and because this kind of exploration does not eat into Coen’s thirty days, it costs you nothing except the time it takes to line up one teleport.
