Nightmare Door #4 in Marvel’s Wolverine opens a timed traversal trial called Fallen on Hard Times. There is no combat in it. The whole challenge is a single run through a broken-up, purple-lit version of the snowy forest, and the only thing separating Bronze from Adamantium is how few times you stop moving.
Quick answer: Find the door during Mission 8, Something Much Stronger, just after you free the wolf from the branches. Reach the exit portal in under 43 seconds for Adamantium.
Nightmare Door 4 location in Something Much Stronger
The door sits on the main story path in the Canada chapter, during the mission objective “Get to the cabin.” Once you have freed the wolf tangled in the branches, keep pushing forward and watch the ground. Purple roots spread across the snow and lead straight to the door, which stands inside a wooden cabin as a glowing purple tree.
Interacting with the portal brings up the trial card reading “Fallen on Hard Times” with the objective “TRAVERSAL: Reach the exit.” Select ENTER TRIAL and the world fades into a dark version of itself with a three-second countdown before the timer starts.
Nothing here is missable. If you walk past the door, chapter select from the bed in the Nightmare Cabin lets you return, and every trial can be replayed from the cabin after the story with better skills unlocked.

| Rank | Required time |
|---|---|
| Adamantium | Under 0:43 |
| Gold | Under 0:46 |
| Silver | Under 0:56 |
| Bronze | 0:56 or slower |
The gap between Gold and Adamantium is only three seconds, which is roughly one missed swing or one bad landing. A clean run with no restarts lands comfortably under the line, in the range of 39 to 40 seconds. Bronze is enough to mark the trial as completed for the hidden memory, but Adamantium in a single trial is required for the platinum, and this one is an easy place to earn it.
The full traversal route
The course is a chain of floating platforms, tree branches, suspended window frames and swing bars. The route never branches, so the fastest run is simply the one where you never pause to look for the next handhold.

You can restart at any point with RETRY on the results screen, and only your best time is kept, so an early mistake costs nothing but a few seconds.
Confirming the Adamantium rank and rewards
The results screen is the confirmation. It shows your Time and Best Time, with ADAMANTIUM highlighted above Gold, Silver and Bronze if you finished under 43 seconds. A run of 00:39:54, for example, clears the threshold with room to spare.

Clearing the trial awards AP, and it also raises your AP cap as the total climbs past 25. On top of that you get +1 Strand, with an on-screen prompt reminding you that unused Strands are waiting. Spend them in the Adaptations tab of the menu to slot more passive skills.
Once the medal is banked, press CONTINUE to drop back into the cabin and carry on toward the mission objective. Discovering this door also counts toward the Pathways of the Mind trophy, and clearing it at Bronze or better feeds into the Repressed Memories requirement across all 15 trials.
