The Susuta family is one of the few Water lines in Aniimo that forks at the end, and the fork is permanent for the creature you are holding. One Popota becomes either Panpanta or Piopiota — never both — and the two branches ask for completely different things from you.

Quick answer: Evolve Susuta into Popota at Aniimo level 29. At level 39, Popota takes one branch only — Panpanta after beating the Alpha Panpanta, or Piopiota after attracting a wild Susuta. Each costs Wave Stone x1.
Susuta evolution requirements: levels, unlock conditions and Wave Stone costs
There are exactly three recorded evolutions in the family. Susuta becomes Popota, and Popota then splits into two parallel Nova-stage results. Neither Panpanta nor Piopiota evolves any further.

| Evolution | Requirements | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Susuta → Popota | Aniimo level 29 | None |
| Popota → Panpanta | Aniimo level 39; defeat the Alpha Panpanta | Wave Stone x1 |
| Popota → Piopiota | Aniimo level 39; approach and attract a Susuta of the opposite gender to follow | Wave Stone x1 |
The two level 39 options are a branch, not a chain. If you want both final forms in your Aniilog, you need two Popota — raise one down each path.

Add to Google Preferences →Where to catch Susuta in Echoback Landing
Echoback Landing is the habitat for the whole line, a coastal zone in the Breezy Plains region tuned to levels 36 to 40. It holds 29 chests, 3 blooms, 2 bonfires, 5 lumin amber, 5 ecological points, 3 lumin collections and 3 pathfinder challenges, so the trip is worth making even before you start hunting.

Wild Susuta wander the sand near the water and are caught with an Anispod like any other Lumin-stage Aniimo. They are Water element with the BREAK role, and they carry Swim Lv. 1 for pathfinding, which is handy along this stretch of coast.

Evolving Susuta into Popota at level 29
The first step has no gate beyond levels and no material cost. Put Susuta in your active party or feed it EXP items until it hits Aniimo level 29, then open the Evolve menu and confirm.

Popota keeps the Water element and the BREAK role, and it keeps the same three moves the whole early line shares — the basic ATK, Water Dash and Water Cannon. What changes is the stat spread, with attack jumping from 61 to 96 and HP climbing to 92.
How to get Panpanta: defeat the Alpha Panpanta
The Panpanta branch is the combat route. You need a Popota at Aniimo level 39, a win against the Alpha Panpanta, and Wave Stone x1 to pay for the evolution. Wild Panpanta also live in Echoback Landing, so the area doubles as the place to study the fight before you take it.

Panpanta is a Water BREAK unit built around BREAK pressure, with the highest HP and BREAK values in the family. It carries Swim Lv. 1 for pathfinding and Leisure Lv. 3 and Water Lv. 3 as homeland abilities.
How to get Piopiota: attract a wild Susuta with Popota
The Piopiota branch replaces the boss fight with a field interaction. Your Popota must reach Aniimo level 39, approach and attract a Susuta of the opposite gender until it follows, and you still pay Wave Stone x1. Echoback Landing is the practical place to do it, because that is where wild Susuta are.

Piopiota itself has a charm effect that pulls wild Aniimo toward it on the beach, which makes the second run down this path noticeably less tedious.
How to confirm the evolution unlocked
You do not have to guess whether the attraction registered. The moment a wild Susuta turns pink and follows, a prompt appears reading “Remarkable change is about to happen! Start Evolution”.
To double-check before you spend anything, open the Evolve menu on that Popota. The Piopiota entry lists the attraction requirement with a completed marker next to it, and the level and Wave Stone x1 cost are shown alongside. If the marker is not there, the Susuta you passed was the same gender.
Panpanta vs Piopiota: base stats, roles and skills
The branch decides a role, not just a look. Panpanta stays BREAK; Piopiota switches to Support with the highest attack and defense in the line.
| Aniimo | HP | Attack | BREAK |
|---|---|---|---|
| 81 | 61 | 72 | |
| 92 | 96 | 80 | |
| 104 | 85 | 100 | |
| 102 | 108 | 50 |
| Aniimo | Defense | M.Def | Regen |
|---|---|---|---|
| 53 | 80 | 64 | |
| 68 | 68 | 67 | |
| 70 | 106 | 80 | |
| 99 | 75 | 88 |
Panpanta skills
| Skill | Power | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 176 | Full-force shovel strike | |
| Water Cannon | 65 | AoE water ball, leaves a puddle |
| 30 | Water Shield, extra skill hits | |
| Hydro Roll | 18 | Rolling ram, drains stamina |
| 6 | Close-range water attack |
Splash Shield costs 20 EP, has a 15-second cooldown and grants a Water Shield worth 8% of max HP for 15 seconds; while it holds, every skill hit lands one extra instance of skill damage on a 0.5-second trigger interval. Hydro Roll cast near water absorbs it for 30% more BREAK efficiency for 15 seconds, which stacks with the family trait Appeal — entering battle with an opposite-sex Susuta family member on the team gives another 30% BREAK efficiency for 15 seconds on a 20-second cooldown.

Piopiota skills
| Skill | Power | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | Wave damage, team Water boost | |
| 72 | Team heal, doubles per puddle | |
| Surf | 50 | Rides a wave, creates 4 puddles |
| Water Cannon | 39 | AoE water ball, leaves a puddle |
| 6 | Close-range water attack |
Sea in Wrath costs no EP, runs on an 8-second cooldown and raises Water Elemental Boost for the whole team for 30 seconds. Surge heals the team for 4% of Piopiota’s max HP and doubles that healing for each puddle absorbed within 10m of water, up to four at once — which is exactly why Surf’s four puddles are worth casting first. Its trait, Radiant Charm, adds 16% Water damage for every opposite-sex Aniimo on the team, and Water attacks hit Fire and Rock for 1.6x while dealing 0.625x to Grass, Holy, Ice and Water.

Nighttime and Prismana forms
Every member of the line has a Nighttime Form with identical base stats, and the level gates are the same — 29 for Popota, 39 for either Nova-stage result, with Wave Stone x1 on both branches. The difference is personality. A Nighttime Popota needs a personality containing Instinctive and Judicious plus the Alpha Panpanta win to reach Panpanta, or a personality containing Energetic and Playful plus the attraction to reach Piopiota.
Personality cannot be changed with fruit items, so a Nighttime Popota with the wrong pair is locked out of that branch and you will need another one.
Piopiota (Nighttime) is the only member of the family that is Water and Dark rather than Water alone, and it is the only one with Dark Tide, which grants 15% BREAK Damage Reduction for 20 seconds and adds a stack for each puddle absorbed near water, up to four. Dark attacks deal 1.6x to Electric, Grass and Holy, and 0.625x to Water and Wind.
Panpanta (Prismana) sits at element level 4 and is the only form with Water Cannonade, a 20 EP skill with 40 power that creates a puddle and applies 5 stacks of Water Debuff to everything it hits. Encountering one is also a listed trait objective for the standard Panpanta.
If you are filling out the Aniilog rather than building one team, the efficient approach is to keep a spare Popota parked below level 39 and run the branches back to back — the Alpha Panpanta fight and the beach attraction happen in the same stretch of coast, and the Wave Stone cost is the same either way.
