Where Perfumer Dael waits, how to find all three Large Starines, and every reward the Nest of Stars hands out.

A Fragrant Journey: Forest of Falling Stars is a Journey-tab side quest in Aniimo that sends you into a Celestis outpost called the Nest of Stars, hidden under the violet canopy of Breezy Plains. The whole thing hinges on one fiddly detail that trips people up: ordinary Starines and Large Starines are two different items, and the game asks for both.

Quick answer: Talk to Perfumer Dael at the Nest of Stars, Twine into a Celestis, collect three Large Starines inside the outpost, submit all three at the woven nests, then hand the Treasured Large Starine back to Dael.

Where the quest starts in Forest of Falling Stars

The quest sits under the Journey tab, and its log entry names Perfumer Dael, standing at the entrance to the Nest of Stars. The first tracked objective reads “Explore the Celestis outpost!” On the atlas, the closest landmark is the Lumin Marking: Nest of Stars, which drops you in the right pocket of forest but is not the quest giver itself. Use the marker to get there, then switch to the tracked green destination for Dael’s exact spot.

Forest of Falling Stars is a Breezy Plains area built for early progression, with sub-zones ranging from level 18 up to 25. It holds 47 chests, 2 Blooms, 1 bonfire, 5 Lumin Amber, 2 transporters, 10 ecological points, 1 lumin collection and 2 Pathfinder Challenges, so it is worth sweeping the region while you are here.

Where the three Large Starines come from

You arrive with zero Large Starines and collect all three inside the outpost. Two are straight pickups along the cave loop. The third only exists after you pay Dum-Dum ten ordinary Starines. Order does not matter, so grab them however your route works out.

The nest selector says “Submit at least 1!” That is a floor, not advice. Hand in all three at once so the stage counter jumps straight to 3/3.

A Fragrant Journey walkthrough

Open Journey, select A Fragrant Journey: Forest of Falling Stars, and press Go if the green destination is not already on screen. Follow it to Perfumer Dael and hear him out. He needs large offerings for the festival and cannot find any.

Catch a wild Celestis in the flower beds outside if you do not own one, then Twine with it. The glowing outpost entrance only opens for a Celestis, so you walk in wearing that form.

Follow the flower trail past the root screen to three woven basket nests under the central tree. Interact once with Insert large Starine to see the 0/3 gate, then close the empty panel.
Loop the cavern and take the two direct Large Starines. One sits in a hollowed log near the nests, the other in a hollow branch further round; a small chest sits beside that second one with early-game odds and ends inside.

Find Dum-Dum, standing beside a Large Starine near a corner of the nest area. Choose Take out 10 Starines early just to read the panel. If you are short, it sits at 0/10 and tells you exactly how many the outpost still owes you.
Run the blue and violet flower field and pick up loose ordinary Starines until you own at least ten. These are the small version scattered on the ground, not the gold-orange ones.

Go back to Dum-Dum, pick Take out 10 Starines again, select exactly ten in the Submit Items window and confirm. Dum-Dum counts them out, and the pickup feed then prints Large Starine ×1 for the third one.
Return to the nests and use Insert large Starine. Select all three from your inventory and confirm the 3/3 submission. That confirmation, not the Dum-Dum trade, is what triggers the Starine shower cutscene.

When Twinkle asks whether Starry has been back, pick I saw a Stellarys. Twinkle decides Starry is treating everyone and calls for a meal, which releases the rewards.
Collect the three interactions one at a time. Take the ordinary Starine, open the gold Chest, then grab the Treasured Large Starine. Their notifications overlap, so read the prompt you triggered rather than the order the toasts appear in.
The target switches to “Go to Perfumer Dael!” Leave the cave, cross back over the short stream, and speak to Dael. Reopen the interaction for “Give the Treasured Large Starine to Dael” and submit it at 1/1.

Dum-Dum and Twinkle dialogue options

Only one line in each menu moves the quest forward. Everything else is flavour or a dead end.

All rewards from the Nest of Stars

Three separate payouts land in quick succession, and it is easy to mistake one for another because the notification queue backs up. The chest, the landmark discovery and the quest completion are all distinct events.

Delayed pickup toasts from the nests and the chest often resume after the completion panel opens, which makes them look like quest pay. Completion itself only hands over Peace of Mind and the 600 EXP.

How to confirm the quest is complete

Two on-screen confirmations settle it. Submitting three Large Starines flips the nest counter to 3/3 and unlocks the lore card for Treasured Large Starine. Handing that item to Dael at 1/1 then opens the named Peace of Mind item panel and applies EXP +600. If the Peace of Mind panel has appeared, the quest is finished and the Journey entry clears.

If the Insert large Starine prompt does not appear

  • Open Journey, select the exact Forest of Falling Stars entry, and check the active target reads “Explore the Celestis outpost!”
  • Retrack the quest and follow its green destination. The regional atlas pin on its own does not activate a quest stage.
  • Walk right up to the woven nests beside the Celestis, not just the nearby Lumin Marking. The panel appears even at zero Large Starines.
  • If Dum-Dum’s panel reads under 10, close it and keep collecting small Starines. Large Starines cannot be substituted.
  • If the quest title is missing entirely, continue the available Journey chain until it appears in the log.

Once Dael has his offering, the Nest of Stars keeps its chest and landmark loot, and you leave with a stack of early Credits, Aniipods and Growth materials that carry comfortably into the level 25 stretch of Breezy Plains.
