Among the Faithful in WoW Forever: Quest Walkthrough and Bug Fix

Where to accept the quest, how to trigger the cultist conversation, and what to do when the wardrobe is missing.

Where to accept the quest, how to trigger the cultist conversation, and what to do when the wardrobe is missing.

Among the Faithful is a short eavesdropping quest in the Skyborne starting zone of World of Warcraft: Forever, and it sits directly in the path of the rest of the zone’s story. There is no combat involved. You accept it, hide behind a piece of furniture, listen to two cultists talk, and walk away with a weapon.

Quick answer: Take Among the Faithful from Missionary Jasaan in Falaath Village, climb to the top floor of the large wooden building, interact with the Wardrobe, then hand the quest in to Constable Anisla.

The quest text frames it as a warning about Al’Aras and the storm that feeds the cult’s strength, but the only thing you need to do is listen in on a conversation. Skipping the quest lets you leave the island, though it cuts off the remaining starting-zone story and leaves you short on levels.

How to reach the eavesdropping spot in Falaath Village

Find Missionary Jasaan in Falaath Village and accept Among the Faithful. A yellow exclamation mark marks the NPC, and the quest appears in your log as soon as you click Accept.

Open your map and check the highlighted objective area. It points to the large wooden structure further down the stone path through the village.

Enter the building and follow the wooden ramps upward. The conversation happens on the top level, so keep climbing until you reach the open upper deck where the two cultists are standing.
Interact with the Wardrobe beside them. The prompt tells you to hide behind it and listen, and your character slips out of sight as soon as you click.

What completes the objective

Skyreaper Aanders and High Priestess Lofftuna run through their attack plan while you stay hidden. Aanders takes the western watchtower, Commander Cystles leads the assault on Shen’Dar Village, and Lofftuna says she is needed elsewhere before she leaves.

I am needed elsewhere for the gameboard. Do not fail me, Aanders.

You have to sit through the whole exchange. When the last line plays, the objective updates to Learn about the cultists’ plans: 1/1 and the quest is flagged as complete in your log. Once Lofftuna walks off, you can jump straight down from the balcony instead of retracing the ramps.

Where to turn in Among the Faithful

There is no turn-in NPC anywhere near the building, which is what trips up most players. The quest closes out back in Shen’Dar Village with Constable Anisla, who has a yellow question mark over her head on the terrace past the gatehouse.

The fastest way back is your Hearthstone, which is bound to Shen’Dar Village by default at this point in the zone. If it is on cooldown, the road between the two settlements is a short run.

Hand the quest in for 250 XP and pick one of three weapons:

  • Windswept Shortbow
  • Refined Shortbow
  • Cursed Scimitar

Confirmation that everything worked is immediate. The quest drops out of your log, the weapon lands in your bags, and Constable Anisla offers the follow-up, Havoc in the Highlands.

Fix for the missing Wardrobe bug

During the beta, large numbers of players reached the upper deck and found no Wardrobe at all, just the quest sparkles floating in an empty spot with nothing to click. With no object to interact with, the objective never fires, and the rest of the starting zone stays locked behind it.

The workaround that has worked for some players is a full client restart while standing at the spot where the conversation takes place. Closing to the character selection screen is not enough on its own; several players only saw the object appear after quitting the game entirely and relaunching. Results are inconsistent, and plenty of players have reported that neither relogging, restarting, nor layer hopping with a group brought the Wardrobe back.

Do not abandon the quest to troubleshoot it. Players who dropped it have been unable to pick it up again, even with low-level quests shown and after searching the starting settlement.

Logging out also strips the buff that makes you neutral to the area, so after a restart you may need to return to the quest giver to get it back before you can stand near the cultists. If the fix does not work for you, file it through the in-game bug reporter so it is counted.

Beta status and what comes after the starting zone

World of Warcraft: Forever entered beta on September 17th, 2026, with the full release set for November 4th, 2026. Blizzard maintains a running known issues list for the beta and updates it as fixes land, so quest blockers like this one are expected to be patched in during the test period rather than at launch.

Past the Skyborne starting zone, Forever opens into four new zones, nine new dungeons spread across the level brackets, and two new raids arriving on December 9th, 2026.

Weapon rewards like the ones from this quest also feed into the optional transmog system, which lets you keep an appearance you like while wearing something stronger, or switch it off entirely and see everyone in their base gear.
