Aniimo: How to Get Turbo (Rainstorm Form)

Rainstorm Turbo only appears in Nimbus Fields during rain or storms, and evolving Rainstorm Nimbi needs the same weather.

Turbo’s Rainstorm Form is a weather variant, which means the game will not hand it to you on a clear day. It lives in Nimbus Fields in the Breezy Plains, it only shows up while the sky is doing something violent, and it hides inside herds of ordinary Nimbi until you get close enough to spot the horns.

Quick answer: Wait for rainy or stormy weather in Nimbus Fields, head south from the fast travel point, and capture the dark purple Turbo standing apart from the Rainstorm Nimbi flocks.

Two ways to unlock Turbo (Rainstorm Form)

Both routes end in the same Aniilog entry, and both depend on the weather. Catching is faster if the rain is already falling; evolving is the fallback if you already raised a Rainstorm Nimbi.

Wild Turbo in Nimbus Fields sit in the level 5–15 band, so a mid-game party will not struggle with the fight itself. The hard part is timing.

Catch Turbo (Rainstorm Form) in Nimbus Fields

Open the world map and check the weather icon over the Breezy Plains. The map flags weather by zone, and weather variants like the Rainstorm Form only generate while that zone is set to rain or a thunderstorm.

Fast travel to Nimbus Fields while the rain is still running. The spawn area sits south of the fast travel point, on the open green hills where the Nimbi flocks graze.

Sweep the herds one by one. Most groups are plain Nimbi and Rainstorm Nimbi with the occasional Emberpup wandering through, so expect to check two or three clusters before one of them has a Turbo attached.

Look for the dark purple body and the horns. That is the Rainstorm Form, and it usually stands slightly apart from the Rainstorm Nimbi around it. Open combat, wear it down, then throw your Anipods.

The base catch chance is 28%, so failed throws are normal. Breaking it first multiplies the chance by 1.5, and a backstab throw applies the same 1.5x multiplier.

If you want a Sparkling one, be prepared to repeat the loop for a very long time. The base rate is 1 in 20,000.

Evolve Rainstorm Nimbi into Turbo (Rainstorm Form)

The evolution line runs from Nimbi (Rainstorm Form) straight into Turbo (Rainstorm Form), and the weather condition carries over to the evolution itself. Trying it under clear skies will not fire.

  • A Nimbi (Rainstorm Form) at Lv. 21 or higher
  • Rainy weather active when you evolve it
  • A Gust Stone for the evolution cost
  • The Alpha Turbo defeated

Because the wild version exists, you can skip all of this entirely. Catching one in Nimbus Fields registers the same form without touching the evolution requirements.

Check that the Rainstorm Form registered

A successful capture pops a confirmation and adds the entry to your Aniilog under Turbo’s number, tagged as the Rainstorm Form. Opening the Aniilog gives you the 3D field notes view, which is the quickest way to confirm the variant rather than the base form.

To make it the displayed portrait for that species, open the Forms menu on the entry, pick Rainstorm Form, then hit Apply and Confirm. The Aniilog thumbnail swaps over immediately.

From the Aniimo management screen you can also confirm the element typing, the full skill list and the trait for the one you just caught, which is the other reliable way to tell a variant apart from its base form.

Turbo (Rainstorm Form) stats and role

This is a Nova stage Support with Wind and Lightning typing, which separates it from the pure Wind base form. It stands 1.2m tall and weighs 6kg.

Defensively it leans magical, with 96 M.DEF against 80 P.DEF, so physical pressure is where it folds. Its damage lands hardest on grass, wind, water and dark targets, while rock attacks hit it for 1.6x. Incoming wind is heavily blunted at 0.391x.

Out of combat it has Fly pathfinding and the Cloudwalk mobility skill, which lets it drift through the clouds. Its Homeland abilities cover Wind, Lightning and Leisure work.

Shrouded in Mist trait and skill list

Everything in this kit is built around one trait. Shrouded in Mist gains a stack each time the Aniimo lands a basic attack or spends five seconds off the field, and at 4 stacks it enters the state. The next skill you cast consumes the state and comes out stronger.

Thunder Bolt

An Electric attack that lobs thundercloud projectiles at the target, costing 10 EP on an 8 second cooldown. Under Shrouded in Mist the projectiles detonate on contact for damage equal to 120% Might and apply Paralysis.

Cloud Shield

A Wind self-buff costing 20 EP on a 20 second cooldown. It absorbs damage up to 15% of max HP and cuts stamina use by 15% for 20 seconds. With the mist state active, the shield instead absorbs up to 19% of max HP.

Remaining combat and innate skills

  • Nimbi Burst — AoE explosion that gives the team +15% damage and BREAK efficiency for 20s; 30% and extended to nearby allies under mist.
  • Nebula Burst — AoE ground slam granting teammates +15% Dark damage for 20s, raised to 30% under mist.
  • Cloud Orb — A condensed cloud missile that detonates for 180% Might when cast from the mist state.
  • Collectible Drop — The ultimate. Turbo sneezes out 7 collectibles, each restoring 6% HP when picked up.
  • ATK — A ranged magic basic attack using wind.

Because the trait feeds on basic attacks and on time spent off the field, the Rainstorm Form works best as a rotation piece rather than a permanent frontliner. Swap it in, dump the enhanced Nimbi Burst or Nebula Burst for the team buff, and swap it back out to rebuild stacks while your damage dealer works.
