Fortnite: How to Unlock Free Guitar Processing Unit and Chibi Ironmouse Spray

Two Ironmouse cosmetics are currently free in Fortnite, and neither of them costs V-Bucks. Both come from a Twitch Drops campaign run by Epic Games that is tied to a single channel, with a hard cutoff at the end of September. The only currency involved is watch time.

Quick answer: Link your Epic account to Twitch, watch ironmouse’s live stream for 30 minutes for the Chibi Ironmouse Spray and 60 minutes for the Guitar Processing Unit, then claim both in your Twitch Drops inventory.

Ironmouse Twitch Drops rewards and watch times

The campaign has two tiers, and they stack. The 60 minutes you spend earning the instrument also covers the 30-minute spray, so a single hour of watching clears both.

The Guitar Processing Unit is better value than “one guitar” suggests. The drop bundles three locker entries under the same name — the guitar itself, a matching back bling, and a matching pickaxe — all built around a liquid-cooled gaming PC. Its in-game description reads “Liquid-cooled tunes.” It arrived with update v42.20 in Chapter 7, Season 4, and works in Battle Royale, Save the World, Creative, and Festival. It is not supported in Racing, LEGO Fortnite, or Fall Guys modes.

The Chibi Ironmouse spray is part of the wider Ironmouse set, so it slots in alongside the paid cosmetics if you own any of them.

Campaign dates: last day to claim the Ironmouse drops

The drops went live on September 18th, 2026, and September 30 is the last day to earn them. The campaign itself closes out on October 1, 2026, and anything still sitting unclaimed in your Twitch inventory expires with it.

Earning a drop is not the same as owning it. Each drop gives you roughly 24 hours to hit the claim button before it lapses, so do not leave it until the final day.

This is a one-time setup. If you claimed any earlier Fortnite drop, the connection is already in place and you can skip ahead.

Open the official Fortnite Twitch Drops campaign page and sign in with the Epic account you actually play on. The same connection can also be made from Twitch under Settings, then the Connections tab.

Authorize the connection when Twitch prompts you. Double-check that the linked Epic account is the one carrying your locker, because rewards land on that account only and cannot be moved afterwards.

Watch the eligible stream and claim the drops

Go to twitch.tv/ironmouse while she is live and make sure you are logged in. This campaign runs on one channel only — no other Fortnite stream counts toward it.
Check for the DropsEnabled tag under the stream title. If the tag is missing, the minutes you watch are not being tracked.
Leave the stream running for a full hour. Progress is tracked per account rather than per tab, so keeping the player open and logged in is what matters.
Claim each reward when the progress bar fills. A notification appears next to chat with a Claim Now button, and every earned drop also sits on the Twitch Drops inventory page until you collect it.

How to confirm the rewards arrived in Fortnite

After claiming a reward, allow a few minutes for it to reach your Epic account. The in-game check is definitive: open Fortnite following a successful claim to see a Congratulations screen for the Chibi Ironmouse spray. Once the hour-long tier is collected, the Guitar Processing Unit arrives through that same process.

If nothing shows up, restart the game. To verify manually, open the locker and check these slots:

  • Sprays — look for Chibi Ironmouse and equip it to a wheel slot.
  • Instruments — the Guitar Processing Unit appears as a playable guitar.
  • Pickaxe and back bling — the same guitar also equips in both of those slots.

Free drops vs. the paid Ironmouse bundle

It is easy to mix these up, so the line is worth drawing. The spray and the guitar are the only two items in the Drops campaign. Everything else Ironmouse-related lives in the Item Shop as the Ironmouse 13 Item Bundle, priced at 3,400 V-Bucks, and none of it is earned by watching.

That paid set covers the main Ironmouse outfit and the Decora Ironmouse skin, both with a tail toggle, plus the elim-reactive Ironmouse Worm back bling, the Bubi back bling, the Blade of Love pickaxe, Ironmouse’s Bubi Mic instrument, the Cry For Me and Hell Again emotes, the Meow, Hell Again and Cry For Me Jam Tracks, and a loading screen exclusive to the full bundle. Decora Ironmouse also carries an alternate Demon Decora style in a darker purple palette.

If you do buy into the set, the Item Shop’s Support-A-Creator prompt is where a creator code goes before you confirm the purchase. There is also an Ironmouse Icon Cup Reload listed under the Compete tab for players who would rather earn cosmetics competitively.

An hour of stream time is the entire cost here, and the two rewards are exclusive to this campaign window. Once the window shuts at the start of October, the spray and the guitar stop being obtainable through Drops.
