Slayers 2: Wind Breathing Location and How to Obtain It

Where Wind Trainer Sanemi stands in the snowy Iceveil region, plus the level and Demon Horn cost you need first.

Where Wind Trainer Sanemi stands in the snowy Iceveil region, plus the level and Demon Horn cost you need first.

Wind Breathing is one of the eight Breathing Styles available in Slayers 2, and it sits behind one of the longer walks in the game. The trainer is tucked away in the snowy region past the bear area, on a ledge below the main mountain path, and the trip punishes you if you arrive underleveled or unprepared for the cold.

Quick answer: Reach Level 25, farm 50 Demon Horns, then travel through the snowy Iceveil area past the bear region and drop down to the ledge where Wind Trainer Sanemi stands.

Wind Breathing requirements in Slayers 2

Every Breathing Style in the game currently opens up at Level 25, and each trainer adds their own material cost on top of that. Wind is one of the more expensive ones in horns.

Demon Horns come from demon kills, and 50 is a large stack compared to what Flame or Serpent ask for. Farm them before you make the trip, because the route itself is long and there is no shortcut back once you are deep in the snow.

Unlocking Wall Climb before heading out makes the snowy mountain routes far easier to navigate, and several nearby trainers are unreachable without it.

Route to the Wind Breathing trainer

The path starts around the bear region. Open your map and look for the Mother Bear and Windy Peak markers, then head toward the mountains on the snowy side.

From the bear area, sprint and dash toward the snowy mountains. You will pass through a set of wooden torii gates that mark the transition into the cold region.

Cross into Iceveil Valley. The zone deals cold damage over time if you do not have a lantern, so keep an eye on the campfires scattered around the area and warm up at one if your health starts ticking down.

Follow the elevated snowy path and the bridges that run along it. Stay on the track rather than dropping into the valley floor, and take the left turn where the path splits.

Run past the Iceveil Settlement. The Sound Breathing trainer and boss Tengai sits in this area, so do not stop here thinking you have arrived. Keep moving past it.

From the path, descend to the isolated snowy ledge below. In the water there, Sanemi sits atop a central platform, making him easy to overlook since he is beneath the route instead of on it.

How to confirm you can start the training

Reaching the trainer does not hand you the moveset. Talking to Sanemi opens his training objectives, and you only get Wind Breathing once you complete them. If the dialogue refuses to progress, check your level and your Demon Horn count first, since both gates are enforced at the conversation.

You will know it worked when the training quest appears as your active objective after speaking to him, and the style is registered on your character once the final task is turned in.

If Sanemi does not appear on the ledge at all, the area may not have loaded correctly. Rejoining the server is the usual fix for a missing trainer.

What Wind Breathing does

Wind Breathing, or Kaze no kokyū, is built around circular slashes and wide gales. Its forms are almost entirely offensive, using spinning motions to throw out whirlwind-shaped slashes that extend well past normal sword range. The blade color for the style is green.

That heavy area coverage is the main reason players make the cold trek for it. If you are still deciding between styles, it is worth comparing the horn cost against Flame at 10 Demon Horns or Serpent at 20 Demon Horns and 5 Beast Cores, since those are much cheaper first picks at the same Level 25 gate.
