The Resurrection table is the one piece of furniture that turns the morgue from a corpse-processing room into a labor supply. It only exists in the morgue, it only becomes available after the Breaking Dead zombie questline points you toward Gunter, and it only works on bodies that are still in good shape.
Quick answer: Unlock the Second chance technology in the Anatomy and alchemy tab, then build the table at the morgue’s drafting board using 4x Wooden plank and 4x Complex iron parts.
Resurrection table build cost and requirements
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Technology | Second chance (Anatomy and alchemy) |
| Materials | 4x Wooden plank, 4x Complex iron parts |
| Build location | Morgue only, via the drafting board |
| Footprint | 5×4 tiles, cannot be rotated |
That 5×4 footprint matters more than it sounds. The morgue is already crowded with pallets, embalming tables, and mortuary racks, so clear a block of floor before you commit the materials.

Add to Google Preferences →Unlock the Second chance technology
Second chance does not appear in the tech tree from the start. The node opens up after you meet Gunter, the chained-up zombie behind the gate beneath your house, and pull the blueprint off the cabinet beside him.

Holding the blueprint is not the same as owning the technology. If the table is missing from the morgue build list, the Second chance node is almost certainly still unpurchased.
Build the Resurrection table in the morgue

Resurrect a corpse into a zombie worker
Each resurrection has a fixed price, and all three parts must be on hand at the same time.
| Ingredient | Amount | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Corpse | 1 | Donkey deliveries, 90% quality or higher |
| Zombie Juice | 1 | Gunter’s cabinet, or alchemy workbench |
| Faith | 10 | Successful weekly church sermons |

You know it worked when the corpse is gone and a zombie stands in its place, ready to be picked up and carried like a log. Haul it to a workstation such as a sawhorse, queue up the work, and use the Put option to drop the zombie there. It keeps going until the queue is empty.
Keep bodies, Zombie Juice, and Faith stocked
The table itself is cheap. Feeding it is the ongoing cost, and each of the three inputs has its own supply line.
- Fresh bodies: the donkey delivers regularly as long as you feed it carrots and supply Seed Oil for the cart wheels.
- Zombie Juice: beyond the starting three, craft more at an alchemy workbench from 1 Health Powder and 1 Blood.
- Faith: earned by running successful sermons in the church each week.
- Body decay: embalming slows it, which keeps more deliveries above the 90% threshold.
A zombie’s work efficiency depends on the corpse’s quality, represented by its number of white skulls. Using embalming fluid on a good corpse benefits the zombie whenever it swings an axe.
Once the first zombie is on its feet, the rest of the system opens up quickly. Gunter points you to a blocked path north of the church, and clearing it unlocks the Zombie Mining, Zombie Woodcutting, and Zombie Quarrying technologies that give your new workforce somewhere useful to stand.
