The Warden Toy is the sixth and final collectible in the Black Ops 7 Zombies Super Easter Egg, and it exists only on Rex Infernus. Getting it means one long uninterrupted run: upgrade the grapple hook, open a hidden Toy Box at the top of a parkour course, clear three horse challenges scattered across the floating islands, then trade the results back at Her House. Place it on the shelf with the other five toys and the Boss Rush finale opens.
Quick answer: First turn the Void Claw into the Void Talon. Then use Aether Shroud to access the Toy Box beneath Nyxara’s Passage, complete the three horse challenges, and exchange the items at the toy box in Her House.

Requirements before the Warden Toy quest will trigger
This is the closing act of a chain that spans every round-based map, so the interactions simply will not appear if anything below is missing.
- Main quest completions on all six round-based maps: Ashes of the Damned, Astra Malorum, Paradox Junction, Totenreich, Kowakujō and Rex Infernus.
- The five earlier Super Easter Egg toys, each one banked by successfully exfilling with it.
- The Aether Shroud Field Upgrade, which is the only way to open the Toy Box.
- Frenzied Guard, needed for one of the three horse challenges.
- The Warden’s Blight Wonder Weapon, Pack-a-Punched, since its charged shot produces the grapple upgrade.
Directed Mode counts for those six original main quests, which is the fastest way to clear any map you are still missing. The toy quests themselves behave differently and should be run in Standard Mode, including this Rex Infernus finale.
The Rex Infernus main quest is the heaviest prerequisite by far. Reigniting the Nexus Forge, solving the Veytharion block puzzle, cleansing all four Shadowsmith temples and beating the Warden all sit in front of this.

If you already forged the crossbows during the main quest, jump ahead. If you started a fresh run, the condensed route is short enough to fit around the rest of the setup.

Immediately put the crafted Warden’s Blight through Pack-a-Punch. Its upgraded charged shot is the only thing that produces the grapple upgrade later.
Upgrade the Void Claw into the Void Talon
An upgraded grapple is required to pull down the horse toys, and the Eye of the Forge inside Her House provides that upgrade. Begin this early: the process takes four rounds and is completable only during an Exfil round.

The three horse toy challenges
Each horse hangs in the air above one of the three island areas. Grapple to it with the Void Claw or Talon, melee it in mid-air, and it drops as a spectral object on the floor. That object stays ghostly until you kill zombies in a specific way, at which point it turns solid and can be picked up.
| Area | Item | Charge condition |
|---|---|---|
| Araenea Insula | Roller skates | Kills with PhD Flopper |
| Spira Insula | Shoes | Kills while jumping |
| Ruinas Insula | Shoelaces | Kills with Frenzied Guard active |
Look straight up in each area to spot the horse before you commit to a grapple. For the jumping challenge, spam the jump button through the entire train rather than stopping to line up shots. For Frenzied Guard, pop the Field Upgrade and stay in the horde until the item materialises.

All three must be solid and collected before the trade-in works. There is no partial credit, and the soul boxes sit where they landed until you finish them.

Trade the items and place the Warden Toy

The result is confirmed when the six toys are gathered on the shelf and glowing; this unlocks the Boss Rush encounter. Interact with the display to begin the finale.
During co-op, each player must put the Warden Toy on the shelf before Boss Rush begins. When just one player does so, only that player receives the rewards.
The five-stage Boss Rush and its rewards
A portal drops the team into Vettrunr’s Sepulcher for five back-to-back encounters, run in a fixed order with no breaks between them.
- Z-Rex
- The Guardian
- Demolition Derby, a truck-driving stage where you run zombies down
- Caltheris the Needle
- The Warden
Surviving all five plays the ending sequence and grants the permanent unlocks: the Warden Operator skin, black-and-purple Zombies crew skins, and the Mister Peeks Mayhem reward tied to Cursed Mode. The on-screen confirmation is direct, with “MISTER PEEKS MAYHEM UNLOCKED” and “SKIN UNLOCKED” both appearing after the Warden goes down.
Because the Warden Toy portion has to be done in one continuous run, plan the order before you load in. Get the symbol sequence started as soon as Pack-a-Punch is live, forge and upgrade the Warden’s Blight while the rounds tick over, and keep the Toy Box and horse challenges for after the grapple is upgraded. Doing it in that order means the only thing you are ever waiting on is the next Exfil round.
