Pain au Chat is the pastry-shaped cat added to Adopt Me on September 18, 2026 as part of the Cat Cafe update. It is an Ultra-Rare pet, and despite arriving with the café’s cat lineup, it does not come from the Kitty Biscuit. You get it through the Pet Releaser instead.

Where Pain au Chat comes from
Pain au Chat is part of the Pet Releaser pool, not the 75-Robux Kitty Biscuit that gives Catte, Cattuccino, or Matcha Cat. The currency you need is Tickets, which you earn by releasing pets you no longer want. Both eggs sold in the Tickets shop can hatch it.

The percentages above are the odds of hatching an Ultra-Rare pet in general, not a guaranteed rate for Pain au Chat specifically. The Crystal Egg lands an Ultra-Rare far more often, while the Basic Egg is much cheaper and produces more total hatches from the same Ticket balance.
You will know you have the right pet by its look. Pain au Chat is a chubby orange cat with dark brown stripes, a white face and belly, a curled tail, and a blue beret-like hat.
Earn Tickets and hatch the egg
A released pet cannot be recovered. Do not give up one you plan to keep for Ticket farming, because a rare event pet is usually worth more than the Tickets returned for it.
Neon and Mega Neon Pain au Chat
Both glowing forms are made the standard Adopt Me way, by combining full-grown copies of the pet.
- To create a Neon, combine four Pain au Chat. The chest swirl and back stripes take on a pastel-blue glow, while the feet, inner ears, and tail drizzle glow that color as well.
- For a Mega Neon, merge four Neons, requiring 16 Pain au Chat altogether. The previously glowing parts cycle through the rainbow’s colors.

If you would rather skip the hatching, you can trade another player for one. Trading lets you exchange items and pets of similar value, so a fair offer usually means matching Pain au Chat with something of comparable worth. Because Pain au Chat is tied to a limited event, it is easiest to obtain while the Cat Cafe content is live. Bank your Tickets and secure the pet before the pool rotates out, since event pets become harder to find and trade-only afterward.
