World of Warcraft: Darnassus Hunter Trainer Location

Every hunter trainer in Darnassus stands in the same place — the eastern tree of Cenarion Enclave, stacked across three wooden platforms connected by a single curving ramp. Once you know which platform each one occupies, training takes about thirty seconds from the city’s northern path.

Quick answer: Head to Cenarion Enclave in northern Darnassus and run up the ramp by the nightsabers. Jocaste is on the first platform at roughly 40.4, 8.6.

Three hunter trainers and one pet trainer share the same tree. Any of the three class trainers will teach you the same ranks, so pick whichever platform is closest.

The ramp forks near the top. Going right leads to Jeen’ra Nightrunner on the highest level; going left puts you next to Dorion and Silvaria. Jocaste sits before that fork, which is why she’s the one most players end up using.

Route to Cenarion Enclave from the Temple Gardens

Open your map and look at the northern end of the Darnassus layout. Cenarion Enclave sits at the top of the city, west of Craftsmen’s Terrace, and it is the only district with hunter trainers.

Confirm the Cenarion Enclave label before you start running. It appears on the map next to Craftsmen’s Terrace, which is a useful anchor if you’re arriving from the bank or auction side of the city.

Cross the bridge out of the Temple Gardens and follow the cobblestone path north. You’ll pass sentinels, other players, and the nightsabers that mark the approach to the enclave archway.

Find the curved wooden ramp near the nightsabers on the eastern side of the enclave and run up it. The first platform at the top is where Jocaste stands, alongside Stable Master Alassin.

Picking the right tree in Cenarion Enclave

Cenarion Enclave is made up of three hollow trees, and only the eastern one holds hunter trainers. The central tree is the druid house — walk inside it and you’ll find Fylerian Nightwing by the pool past the reagent vendor, with Denatharion on the same lower level and Mathrengyl Bearwalker up the spiral ramp. If you’ve crossed a wooden entryway into a tree interior rather than climbing an open ramp, you’re in the wrong building.

If you end up at a wide stone staircase, you’ve run east to the Warrior’s Terrace instead of north. That area holds the warrior trainers and weapon master Ilyenia Moonfire, not hunters.

Training pet abilities with Silvaria

Pet abilities are taught separately from your own. Silvaria, the Darnassus pet trainer, stands on the second platform directly beside Dorion at 42.5, 9.2, so you can train both in one stop by taking the left branch at the fork.

Before reaching the city, low-level night elf hunters have closer options. Ayanna Everstride in Shadowglen covers abilities up to level 6, and Dazalar trains in Dolanaar beside the inn’s southeastern entrance, with pet trainer Keldas standing next to him.

Getting to Darnassus on Teldrassil

Darnassus sits on Teldrassil in northern Kalimdor, so check the continent map first if you’re travelling in from elsewhere. Zooming out to Kalimdor and then back down to the city map makes the approach easier to follow than trying to navigate from the minimap alone.

Confirming you’ve found the right NPC

You’re in the right spot when the nameplate reads Jocaste with <Hunter Trainer> underneath it, and Stable Master Alassin is standing on the same platform. Your coordinates should read close to 40.3, 8.7.

Right-click the trainer and the training window opens with the ability list for your level and the gold cost for each rank. Once an ability moves out of that list and into your spellbook, the training went through.
