Silent Hill: Townfall Electrical Box Puzzle Solution (Zoe’s House)

The power panel tucked into the crawlspace under the stairs in Zoe’s House is the first hard stop in Silent Hill: Townfall. Nothing electrical in the building works until it is switched on, which means the desktop computer in the living room stays dead and the combination for the kitchen box stays out of reach. The panel itself is simple once you have the right card and press the buttons in the right order.

Quick answer: Insert the Prepaid Power Card from Peters Newsagents into the panel in Zoe’s under-stairs crawlspace, press Button A until Card Credit appears, press Button B, then flip the main switch.

What each control on the power panel does

The panel has four inputs, and each one has a single job. Knowing what they do removes most of the guesswork when the interface fills the screen and something is moving nearby.

Items you need before the panel will work

You cannot reach or read the panel in the dark, so the flashlight comes first. Everything below is found inside Zoe’s House except the card itself.

Flashlight (No Batteries) — kitchen drawer beside the washing machine, near the organ transport container.
AA Batteries — upstairs, second room on the left, inside the bedside cabinet drawer.
Working Flashlight — open the inventory, select the batteries, and choose Combine.
Power Card Credit Guide — a clue document in the under-stairs storage space.
Prepaid Power Card — a £5 Electricard held in a shop register nearby.

To find the credit guide, crouch and crawl through the opening next to the staircase, then sweep the flashlight over the cardboard box inside. The document explains how the card reader expects credit to be applied, and the panel sits on the wall in the same space.

Where to find the Prepaid Power Card in Peters Newsagents

The card is in Peters Newsagents (2), a short walk from Zoe’s House in the Coastal District — South. The front door is locked from the outside, so the only way in is through the rear.

Leave Zoe’s House and follow the back alley out to the main street. A short scene plays showing a creature moving through the opposite alley.

Look to your right for the shopfront marked Peters Newsagent. Note where it is, then continue east along the street rather than trying the front entrance.

Watch for an open gap on your right that leads into the back alley. Turn right through it and work your way past the creature to the shop’s back door.

Inside, take the first door on your left and examine the cash register. Opening the drawer gives you the Prepaid Power Card.

Unlock the shop’s front entrance from the inside before you leave. It gives you a straight route back to the street without another pass through the alley.

How to restore power at the electrical box

Return to Zoe’s House and go back to the staircase. Crouch and crawl through the low opening beside it to reach the meter cupboard.

Interact with the wall panel to open it. The meter display, the two buttons, the wiring and the main switch are all laid out on the same face.

Push the Prepaid Power Card into the slot along the bottom edge of the panel. The reader keeps hold of it while you work through the display.

Press Button A repeatedly until the screen reads Card Credit. The button cycles through the meter’s readouts, so keep going until that exact line is showing.

Press Button B to add the card’s credit to the meter. The balance on the display updates once the credit lands.

Set the panel’s main switch, located in the lower-right corner, to on. Power is restored to the house at once.

How to confirm the power is back on

You know the sequence worked when the meter shows a credited balance and the house lighting responds. The clearest check is the desktop computer in the living room, which stays unresponsive until the switch is thrown. Press its power button, refresh the inbox and the emails will open normally.

The mailbox explains the panel’s importance: one message says to form the storage container combination from the first three and final three digits of the matching ET code. Find that code on the Organ Transplant Card lying on the upstairs bathroom floor. Once you have both pieces of information, set the kitchen’s Human Organ in Transit box to 956 on the left dial and 133 on the right to receive Zoe’s Lanyard Badge and enter the clinic.
