Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro catalyst support who debuted in Genshin Impact version 7.1 as a healer, resistance shredder, and buffer for Freeze and Stellar Swirl teams. Her constellations do not all pull their weight, and a few change how much value her team squeezes out of her. Here is where each one lands and why.
Quick answer: C2 is the single best constellation to pull for, since it adds a large CRIT DMG buff to your active DPS and extends her skill uptime. C6 is the strongest full-investment stop; C5 is the one to skip.

S tier: C2 is the constellation worth pulling for
Echoes That Pierce the Snow (C2) is the clear standout. When the Horn of Spring’s Call from her Elemental Skill hits an opponent, the active character gains 50% CRIT DMG for Hydro and Cryo damage. In Stellar Swirl teams, when a Wandering Vortex is present or within five seconds of one exploding, that instead becomes a 60% CRIT DMG boost to Stellar Swirl reaction damage.
C2 makes the Song of Ages Past buff last nine seconds longer, in addition to increasing CRIT DMG. That extra uptime makes rotations smoother and keeps her buffs active more reliably. For players investing vertically in Vodyanitsa, this is the natural stopping point because it directly improves DPS characters such as Skirk in Freeze teams and Vesna in Stellar Swirl teams.
A tier: C6 turns her buffs teamwide
Neverending Song of Revelry (C6) upgrades the C2 effect so the “Two Voices in Black and White” CRIT DMG buff applies to the entire party rather than only the active character. While Song of Ages Past is active, it also elevates Stellar Swirl reaction damage by 25% and increases Hydro and Cryo damage dealt by 60%.
This is the largest single jump in team output of any of her constellations, which is why it sits just below C2. It only lands in A tier because it requires four extra copies past C2, making it a costly reach for most players. If you already have C2 and want to push further, C6 is the target.
B tier: C1 and C3 add steady support value
Waters in Full Splendor (C1) grants a teamwide ATK buff worth 0.8% of Vodyanitsa’s Max HP each time she heals through Song of Ages Past. Because her Elemental Skill keeps the healing effect running with near-constant uptime, this ATK buff is effectively always active. At around 65,000 HP that translates into a meaningful flat ATK boost for the whole party.
Song Lingering on a Spring Morning (C3) grants Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn, her Elemental Skill, three additional levels. Since this skill handles her healing, resistance shred, and buffs, the upgrade gives her sustain a modest yet genuine boost.
Neither of these is a reason on its own to keep pulling, but both are welcome stepping stones on the way to C2 and are more useful than the constellations below them.
C tier: C4 offers little for a support role
Melancholic Voice Upon the Gentle Waters (C4) triggers one of two effects whenever her healing lands. If the ally is below 40% HP, healing increases by 50%. If they are at 40% or above, Vodyanitsa gains 20% Max HP per stack, up to three stacks.
The extra Max HP feeds into her HP-scaling buffs, but the gain is modest, and the conditional healing rarely matters since her baseline sustain is already reliable. It adds very little to her overall buffing, so it stays low on the list.
D tier: C5 is the one to skip
Together, Down Into the Deep (C5) raises Koda: Sink With Thee, her Elemental Burst, by three levels. Players often leave the Burst out of their rotations, especially in time-limited endgame content, so those added levels rarely produce a meaningful improvement.
Because her Burst is not central to her support value, this is the least impactful constellation and the easiest to pass on.
How the constellations scale in practice
In a controlled test with an Odette, Faruzan, Vodyanitsa, and Vesna team against a boss trial, cumulative team damage climbed from C0 to C6. The pattern lines up with the tier list: C1 and C2 each delivered clear gains, C3 and C5 barely moved the needle, and C6 produced the biggest single jump.
