The “Reunite Young Dylan and Jesse” objective sits inside The Underpass Fault, the third and final entry in the Search for Jesse chain in Control Resonant. There is no combat in it. You play as young Dylan, listening to his own narration while crossing a dark cavern of floating stone platforms, and the whole sequence is decided by whether you can read the environmental markers rather than by how well you fight.

Quick answer: Follow the glowing humanoid silhouettes on the walls and the golden leaf-covered paths across the void, then press interact on the Remember prompt at the two standing figures of light.

Before the objective appears: reaching The Underpass Fault

The Fault is entered from the island of orange pipes in the Underpass, and the fastest approach is from The Spire fast travel point. You cannot open it on your first visit. Attempting the Jesse vision there soft-blocks until the Subway Fault in the Evacuation Zone is finished, because that Fault grants the traversal ability the Underpass route expects you to have.

Inside the Fault, the objectives appear in this sequence: locate Jesse and speak with her, lead the children made of light, bring young Dylan back together with Jesse, and assist Jesse with the ritual. The platforming section is the reunion objective. As soon as you begin traversing the void, the upper-left quest tracker changes to Reunite Young Dylan and Jesse.

Reading the route: silhouettes, leaves, and the two figures

The cavern is deliberately dark and the platforms float over an abyss, so the path is communicated entirely through light. Three visual cues carry you from the opening wall to the ending interact prompt.

MarkerWhat it tells you
Glowing humanoid silhouettes on wall facesThe direction of the next jump or turn
Bright yellow and golden fallen leavesA surface that is safe to land on and follow
Two tall figures of light standing side by sideThe end point where the Remember prompt appears

When a jump looks ambiguous, stop and look for a silhouette rather than lining up the gap. The figures are always placed on the wall you should be moving toward, including on the sections where the path doubles back around a central column.

Full platforming route across the Underpass void

Let the opening play out. Young Dylan stands in front of a tall stone wall while shadow projections shift across it and he narrates his memories of his father and of Jesse. Do not try to move past it early; the wall stays sealed until the narration finishes.

Walk forward when the wall splits apart. The opening reveals a dark corridor carpeted in glowing golden leaves. Follow that leaf trail straight ahead until the corridor ends and the floating stone platforms come into view.

Move to the edge and drop down onto the platforms below, using the silhouette on the right-hand wall as your heading. The quest tracker switches to the reunion objective here, which confirms you are on the intended route and not off in a dead end.

Clear the gap and land on the following platform, then go up the elevated stone stairs to your left. The path bends around a pillar in the middle here, so watch the glowing figures as you move instead of heading in a straight line.

Continue past the golden tree ahead and jump up onto the stone ledge on the right. This is the first of two trees along the route and a useful landmark if you need to re-orient after a fall.
Descend over the gap onto the lower ledge covered in leaves, then stay close to the wall as you turn the corner. This stretch has tight walkways bordered by bare trees and yellow plants.

Descend onto the rectangular platform underneath you, then make your way to the one straight ahead. Perform the jumps one at a time; the second platform leaves little room for landing.
Follow the narrow stone path as it turns left and leap the gap onto the ascending slope. From here the route starts climbing toward the upper half of the cavern.
Climb the ledge on your right, round the corner, and pass the second golden tree along the curved path. The perimeter walls on this stretch are marked with bright silhouettes that keep pointing you forward.

Cross the stone pillar gaps, clear the last narrow jump onto the final elevated platform, and climb the remaining steps. Two tall glowing figures are standing side by side at the top.

How to confirm the objective completed

Walk up to the pair of light figures until the interact icon appears with the Remember label attached to it, which is the Square button on PlayStation. Pressing it closes the reunion objective and ends the platforming section; there is nothing to collect on the platforms and no reason to backtrack across the void once the prompt has fired.

Dylan’s narration lands on the line about Jesse finding him in the darkness as the sequence resolves, and the quest then moves on to helping Jesse complete the ritual.

What finishing The Underpass Fault changes

Unlike the first two Faults, this one hands over no new traversal ability. It advances Jesse’s story and clears the block on Recursions and Iterations, and the Notes: Jesse Sightings tracker closes out automatically once the Fault is done.

After the ritual, head back to the area around The Spire fast travel point and pick up the Underpass objectives again. The region can hold several active missions at once, so read the exact quest name in the tracker before choosing where to go next.
