Carry Your Weight in WoW Classic: How to Get Canvas Scraps

Carry Your Weight is an early Horde quest in Durotar that asks you to gather 8 Canvas Scraps and bring them back for a bag. It is a level 7 quest that only requires character level 4, and everything you need happens inside a single zone.

Quick answer: Kill Kul Tiras Sailors and Kul Tiras Marines at Tiragarde Keep, loot 8 Canvas Scraps, then return to Furl Scornbrow in the Razor Hill watchtower to complete the quest.

Accept Carry Your Weight from Furl Scornbrow

The quest giver is Furl Scornbrow, who stands at the top of the Razor Hill watchtower in Durotar at roughly 49.88, 40.32. If you cannot spot the tower, stand in the middle of Razor Hill and look northwest toward the hill above town.

Climb the wooden ramps of the watchtower and speak with Furl Scornbrow. His dialog offers to craft you a Handmade Leather Bag in exchange for canvas, a material carried by humans and centaurs.

Press Accept to add the objective to your tracker. The quest is sharable, so you can pass it to nearby party members heading the same way.

Keep at least one free inventory slot open before you leave. The 8 Canvas Scraps stack together, but you still need room to loot the first one.

Farm Canvas Scraps at Tiragarde Keep

Canvas Scraps drop from the Kul Tiras invaders occupying Tiragarde Keep, the ruined fort south of Razor Hill in eastern Durotar, along the coastline. From the watchtower, drop down and ride southeast across the red desert toward the towers on the shore.

Head to Tiragarde Keep and start with the enemies patrolling outside the keep walls and along Scuttle Coast. These are the easiest to pull one at a time before you push deeper.

Defeat each Kul Tiras Sailor or Kul Tiras Marine and loot its corpse. Canvas Scraps drop directly from the enemy, so watch your tracker climb toward 8/8 with every kill.

Work your way up the stone steps and into the keep courtyard to clear the remaining defenders. The drop rate is not guaranteed on every kill, so expect to fight more enemies than the number of scraps you need.

Keep looting until Canvas Scraps reads 8/8. Once you have the full count, you are done in the field and can head back to Razor Hill.

Tiragarde Keep is a popular early leveling spot, so the area is often crowded with other players chasing the same drops. Tag enemies quickly or move around the ruins to find untouched spawns.

Which enemies drop Canvas Scraps

The two Kul Tiras humans at the keep are by far the most reliable sources. Nearby Kolkar centaurs and a couple of tougher targets can also drop the item, which is useful if the keep is busy.

Because both the humans and the centaurs drop the scraps, you can pick this up alongside other Durotar quests that send you after the same foes, such as tasks that target the Kul Tiras invaders or the Kolkar centaurs.

Turn in the quest and claim the bag

With 8 Canvas Scraps in your bags, ride back northwest across Durotar to Razor Hill and return to the watchtower.

Run up the watchtower ramps and speak with Furl Scornbrow again.

Choose Complete Quest to hand over the scraps. You receive the Handmade Leather Bag, plus experience and reputation with the Darkspear Trolls and Orgrimmar.

You know it worked when the Canvas Scraps disappear from your inventory, the quest clears from your log, and the Handmade Leather Bag lands in your bags ready to equip.
