Hitting character Level 40 in Aniimo comes down to one currency: Safaris EXP. The trick is knowing which activities pour it in fastest and, just as important, which rewards you have already earned but never claimed. Most players sit a few levels short simply because badge, course, and milestone EXP is waiting untouched on the map and in menus.
Quick answer: Stack Safaris EXP from finished Bronze Badges (500 each), Core Courses (500 each), daily activities (up to 3,000 a day), and first-clear Alphas and Sanctums (500 each). At Level 40, complete Promotion: Stardust’s Blessing to promote to Wayfarer.
Safaris EXP is what raises your character level
Safaris EXP is the experience that raises your character level, unlocks pathfinder skills, and lifts the Aniimo level cap. It comes from a long list of activities, so the fastest route to 40 is to collect from several of them at once rather than grinding a single source.
You earn it from Elite Training, quests, catching new Aniimo, completing collections, defeating Alphas, daily activity quests, Aniimo catch reports, obtaining Lumin Amber, Pathfinder challenges, Courses, and Sanctum clears. Keep that spread in mind as you play, because many of these rewards accumulate silently until you go and claim them.

Add to Google Preferences →Claim map collection EXP for finished Bronze Badges
This is the reward most players skip. Open the world map and click on each explored zone where you have completed the Bronze Collection Badge. Every finished zone hands over 500 Safaris EXP that you must claim manually.
Work through zones you have already spent time in, such as Mistwoods, Beast Fang Ridge, and Echoback Landing. If you have explored a large chunk of Breezy Plains, a single sweep of the map can be worth several thousand EXP on its own.

Clear Core Courses to unlock the Wayfarer promotion
Open the training menu with the F3 key and check the Core Courses tab. Each completed objective pays 500 Safaris EXP, and several of the tasks are things you naturally finish while exploring.
The typical Core Course set asks you to defeat Panpanta, the Alpha of Echoback Landing; obtain the Silver Collection Badge in Mistwoods; infuse energy into the Breezy Plains branch 15 times; equip an Epic Held Item on an Aniimo; and nurture the ecosystem in Breezy Plains once. Completing all five unlocks the Wayfarer Title Promotion, increasing the character and Aniimo level caps from 40 to 45.

Collect milestone EXP from the Path tabs
Next to Core Courses sit four more course tabs: Path of Twining, Path of Discovery, Path of Victory, and Path of Splendor. Each holds milestone objectives that pay between 100 and 500 Safaris EXP, plus resource rewards.
Objectives here cover things like social interactions, Alpha defeats, and photographing Aniimo. Because these track passively, you have usually completed a batch already. Click through all four tabs and claim everything before you go looking for more EXP elsewhere.
Run daily activities and supply packs every day
Daily activities are the most reliable source of steady EXP. Completing the full track awards 3,000 EXP a day, split across reward checkpoints worth 600 each, and it also hands out a special egg and Companion Handbook experience. Claim each checkpoint before the in-game daily reset.
Once you reach Student III rank, you can also buy a Daily Supply Pack for 50 Primegy each. A pack gives 250 Safaris EXP for 50 energy, with a limit of three per day, so all three come to 750 EXP for 150 energy plus upgrade materials.
Energy is shared with Alpha reward claims, so weigh whether you want the instant pack EXP or would rather save energy for repeat boss rewards.
Farm first-clear EXP from Alphas, Sanctums, and challenges
First-time clears are where the big single-hit rewards live. Defeat Alphas you have not fought yet, clear Sanctums like Burning Brambles when you pass one, and knock out Pathfinder challenges as you travel between quests. Open-world bosses such as Lv. 35 Leafy also give a first-clear reward and respawn quickly.
| Source | First-clear EXP | Repeat / limit |
|---|---|---|
| New Alpha clear | 500 | 150 per repeat (costs energy) |
| Sanctum clear | 500 | First clear only |
| Zone Bronze Badge | 500 | Per completed zone |
| Blitzwood 40% collection | 500 | Collection milestone |
| 300 | Per challenge | |
| 200 | +2,000 Aniimo EXP |
Match these to your Elite Training objectives. If a training task asks you to beat an Alpha in an area you are already in, that one fight pays both the first-clear reward and the training reward.
Push into higher-level regions when EXP slows
If you have claimed every map badge, course, and milestone and still need a level or two, head into a higher-level region. Berylline Vale (Lv. 41–48) is the natural next step for fresh open-world challenges, quests, and catches once your team can handle it.
The map also labels several other high-level zones once you unlock them, including Blitzwood, Rosetower Woods, Russet Highlands, and Zephyrus Landbridge. New areas mean uncaught Aniimo, fresh Bronze Badges, and more first-clear content to feed your level.

Confirm you reached Level 40
Your character level ticks up on your profile as Safaris EXP fills the bar. When you reach Level 40, the Promotion: Stardust’s Blessing quest becomes available. Completing it promotes you to Wayfarer and pushes both the character and Aniimo level caps to 45, which is your sign that the 40 milestone is locked in and you can keep climbing.
