“Having Met You, My Heart is Gladdened” is the third act of the Silverwing in Pursuit of the Moon event in Genshin Impact, set across Chenyu Vale in Liyue. Her uncle, Lan Yu, arrives to explain the clan’s history and the reason their Grandmaster’s puppet awakens during Moonchase Festivals. Lan Junming, remembered by outsiders as “Mad Lan,” bound his soul to the puppet with a soul-binding talisman so he could keep an ancient promise to meet the adeptus Silverwing again.
After completing the pattern, the group keeps watch overnight in the pavilion. Morning arrives without Silverwing, and the binding holding Lan Junming’s soul starts to falter.
Zhongli’s revelation about Silverwing
A tip from Chongyun points the party toward an adepti gathering at Mt. Aocang. There, Xianyun, Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper, Madame Ping, Zibai, and Zhongli are meeting. When the Traveler asks about Silverwing, Zhongli lays out the tragic reason the summons failed.
Silverwing was an adeptus formed from flocks of swallows born of the spiritual energy of heaven and earth. During the Archon War she flew wounded across enormous distances, and over centuries she gradually lost individual swallows. With each loss she also lost fragments of her memory and consciousness, a process Zhongli frames through the Ship of Theseus. The swallows seen across Liyue today are descendants that inherited only the migration instinct. They carry none of the original adeptus’s memories, and none of her promise.

Lan Yan’s farewell and how the act ends
When the Traveler returns to Yilong Wharf, they tell Lan Yan and the others what happened. Lan Yan chooses to end the Grandmaster’s soul-binding technique so he can finally rest. At the pavilion on Teatree Slope, she tells Lan Junming the full story, then draws on Liyue’s thaumaturgic martial arts to perform an ancestral dance and song that dispels evil and safely removes the binding seal.
During the farewell cutscene, glowing swallows fill the sky as Liyue residents look on, and Lan Junming’s lingering soul lets go of its ancient regret and passes into the Ley Lines. The wooden puppet slumps against the railing, empty. An epilogue between Zhongli and Zibai closes the act with a quiet reflection on Mad Lan’s long journey and his peace. Once the final conversation ends, the completion screen appears and the rewards are handed out, which is how you know the act is finished.
