Awakened Projection is the newest Disaster Grade cursed technique in Jujutsu Zero, and it is built for close-range brawling. Its kit revolves around dash attacks, blue afterimages during Super Dash, and a payoff mechanic that freezes nearby enemies before dumping a huge burst of stored damage. Getting the full package means rolling the technique, climbing to its upgrade tree, and grinding one specific raid for materials.
Quick answer: Roll Awk Projection from the Special Banner, or exchange 20 Projection Sorcery extra copies at the Awakened Projection Tree, then buy all four tree nodes using materials from the Zen’in Elite Raid.
How to get Awk Projection
There are two ways to add Awakened Projection to your inventory. Most players will pull it from the Special Banner, but if you have spare copies of the technique you can skip the gacha entirely and trade for it.
Method 1: Summon from the Special Banner

Method 2: Exchange extra copies at the tree NPC
If you have pulled the technique before, the Awakened Projection Tree NPC will hand you Awk Projection in exchange for 20 Projection Sorcery extra copies. It is a guaranteed route that avoids the banner entirely, so check your extras before spending Cursed Crystals.

Every upgrade runs through the Awakened Projection Tree altar, which sits on the flat peak of the Far Mountains. Reaching it takes a short climb rather than a straight walk.

Farm the Zen’in Elite Raid for Shards and Still Frames
Projection Awakening Shards and Still Frames are exclusive to the Zen’in Elite Raid, making them the main bottleneck. In the encounter, the boss uses Awakened Projection, showing you the technique in an enemy’s hands. A victory awards Lumens and Yen, plus up to 2.85 million player experience. The difficulty sets the reward at three to seven Inheritance Crates.
The raid has three difficulty tiers, each with its own level requirement.
| Difficulty | Level requirement |
|---|---|
| Easy | Level 7,000 |
| Normal | Level 9,000 |
| Hard | Level 11,000 |
You do not receive materials directly from the clear. Open the Inheritance Crates you earn to roll for the drops, and the odds are low enough that you should expect several runs rather than a single one.
| Material | Drop rate |
|---|---|
| Projection Awakening Shard | 0.5% |
| Still Frame | 0.2% |
| Motion Cog | 1.9% |
| Metal | 4.9% |
The raid can also drop the Zen’in Elite clan as a rare reward, so keep running it even after your materials are set.
Awakened Projection skills and tree node costs
The current version has four active attacks, each mapped to its own input. All of them dash in, which makes the technique a close-quarters tool rather than a ranged one. While focused, your stamina meter turns a white-gray shade, and Super Dash leaves a trail of cyan afterimages to signal the movement buffs are active.
| Skill | Input | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Frame Chain | R | Target-tracking dash into a three-punch combo |
| Split Frame | F | Dash strike, afterimage clone barrage, heavy finisher |
| Perpetual Motion | C | Dash in and unload a rapid punch flurry |
| Mach Break | X | Forward dash into a green star-shaped AoE blast |
Only Frame Chain (R) is available out of the box. Everything else, including the freeze bar, is bought in sequence at the tree altar. Each node needs Mastery, technique XP, raid materials, and Yen. You earn technique XP by killing NPCs with Awk Projection equipped, and every kill gives 10 XP regardless of the enemy’s level. Push your Mastery to at least 350 MAS to cover the whole tree.
| Node (unlocks) | Mastery + XP | Materials | Yen |
|---|---|---|---|
| Split Frame (F) | 150 MAS, 5,000 XP | 2 Shards | ¥5,000,000 |
| Perpetual Motion (C) | 250 MAS, 15,000 XP | 2 Shards, 1 Still Frame | ¥20,000,000 |
| Mach Break (X) | 350 MAS, 30,000 XP | 3 Shards, 2 Still Frames | ¥30,000,000 |
| Bar Mechanic (Frame Freeze) | 35,000 XP | 5 Shards, 2 Still Frames | ¥10,000,000 |
Across the full tree you will spend roughly 12 Projection Awakening Shards, 5 Still Frames, and ¥65,000,000. Yen and XP are easy to gather; the Shards and Still Frames are what force repeat raid runs. Each node also carries permanent stat boosts on purchase. Perpetual Motion adds +50% to cooldown, attack, crit, and cursed energy stats, while Mach Break and the Frame Freeze node each add +150% to a core stat and +5% damage amplification.
After a successful purchase, the node illuminates and its skill appears beside Frame Chain on your hotbar. That confirms the purchase is complete.
Frame Freeze and Frame Snap explained
The final node adds a vertical gauge to the left of the screen and is the whole point of the build. Landing projection skills charges the bar, and once it fills completely, a pulse goes out that freezes every nearby enemy inside a single frame for 10 seconds.
A frozen target takes no regular damage from hits; instead, each one is stored. Land 10 hits before the timer expires to activate Frame Snap, releasing the stored damage in a single burst with a 75% bonus. Fall short of the required hits and the stored damage is lost, so the freeze yields no payoff.
Start swinging the instant the freeze lands rather than waiting out the duration. You must reach 10 hits before the clock expires, so every second counts.

Boost the technique with extra copies (E1–E6)
Duplicate pulls of Awakened Projection are not wasted. Feed them into the Techniques tab to unlock the E1 through E6 tiers, which stack damage buffs and cooldown cuts on top of the base kit.
| Tier | Effect |
|---|---|
| E1 | Frame Chain: 30% more damage, 30% less cooldown |
| E4 | Perpetual Motion: 30% more damage |
| E5 | Mach Break: 30% less cooldown |
| E6 | Mach Break: 50% more damage |
Frame Counter accessory and Zenin Elite clan
Frame Counter is a Special Grade accessory built specifically for this technique, and you need character level 750+ to equip it. Crafting takes 3 Motion Cogs, 8 Metal, 8 Leather, and 1 Catalyst, with the Motion Cogs and Metal both pulled from Inheritance Crates. Once equipped, it grants:
- +75% Awakened Projection
- +150% Projection Sorcery
- +50% Crit Damage
- +50% Attack
The Zenin Elite clan finishes a Projection setup. You can pull it as a rare drop from the same raid, roll for it through clan rolls, or buy it in a shop bundle. Its modifiers lean hard into damage:
- +15% DMGAMP
- +15% CTAMP_Projection
- +50% CDR
- +100% CD
- +100% ATK
Awakened Projection skins
Two skins exist for the technique, and both carry stat bonuses rather than being purely cosmetic. The Elite skin is the stronger of the two and requires a token from Crate Reigns, which you then trade at the Token Exchanger.
| Skin | How to get it | Bonuses |
|---|---|---|
| Boosted | Skin NPC Shop | 10% Damage, 10% Attack |
| Elite | Token from Crate Reigns, exchanged at the Token Exchanger | 35% Awakened Projection Damage, 150% Critical Damage |
New Jujutsu Zero codes
Two codes launched alongside the update. Enter them in the game’s code menu exactly as written, since they are case sensitive, and redeem both while they are active because codes like these are usually pulled after a short window.
| Code | Rewards |
|---|---|
| PROJECTION | 1,000 Cursed Crystals, 5,000 Lumens, 50 Clan Rolls |
| 220KLIKES | 500 Cursed Crystals, 5,000 Lumens, 50 Clan Rolls |
The two codes together grant 1,500 Cursed Crystals, 10,000 Lumens, and 100 Clan Rolls. After entering them, check your inventory: the resources appearing there confirms redemption worked.
Awakened Projection has only its base form for now. Future updates are planned to bring a Domain, an ultimate, a polished passive, and a stronger skill set. With the build set to expand, prioritize the Zen’in Elite Raid, save Shards and Still Frames, complete all four tree nodes, then secure the Frame Counter accessory and Zenin Elite clan.
