Hauling a full load of resources across Ashenfall is slow, and running back to base on foot wastes real playtime. The fix pairs two systems that already exist in RuneScape Dragonwilds. The Personal Chest spell reaches your stored items from anywhere, and a Lodestone lets you teleport between two points. Combine them and you can drop a temporary Lodestone wherever you are, jump home to empty your bags, and jump straight back.
Quick answer: Store Lodestone materials in your Personal Chest, cast the spell to build a field Lodestone, teleport to base to empty your loot into linked chests, then return and dismantle the Lodestone to reclaim the materials.
Personal Chest spell and Lodestone requirements
The Personal Chest spell is a Construction ability that opens your personal storage from wherever you stand, including inside vaults. It functions as a portable extension of your storage, so anything you deposit is also available from the physical Personal Chest at base and the other way around. Casting it summons the same inventory with Take All, Fill Stacks, and Sort controls.

The Lodestone is a separate build. Placing your first Lodestone also activates the inactive one in the Temple Woods starting area, giving you two connected points to travel between. Both pieces have their own gates, so check the numbers before you commit to the loop.
| Requirement | Value |
|---|---|
| Personal Chest spell — unlock | Construction level 40 |
| Personal Chest spell — cost per cast | 20 Law Rune, 15 Astral Rune |
| Personal Chest spell — cooldown | 5 seconds |
| Lodestone — unlock | Construction level 80 |
| Lodestone — materials | 32 Stone, 20 Rune Essence, 1 Vault Core |

You cannot place a Lodestone inside instanced areas, Dragonkin Vaults, or certain restricted zones in Ashenfall. Pick an open, valid spot before you spend the materials.

Add to Google Preferences →Run the field Lodestone travel loop
The loop only works if you carry a spare Lodestone kit inside your Personal Chest. Because the spell mirrors your base storage, you stock it once at home and pull it out anywhere.

You know the run worked when the Storage Ledger empties your gathered items into the linked chests and dismantling the field Lodestone puts its build materials back into your inventory. If both happen, the loop is intact and repeatable.
Keep the Storage Ledger from stripping your supplies
The Storage Ledger is fast, but it treats every linked chest as a valid drop target. If your emergency food, drinks, and combat runes match stacks in a linked chest, the Ledger pulls them out of your inventory the moment you interact with it. That can leave you unprepared right after a return.
Keep the chest that holds your loadout, rations, and potions with its Linked box unchecked. An unlinked chest is invisible to the Storage Ledger, so your survival supplies stay on you.

What each teleport costs in Law Runes
Traveling between two Lodestones is not free. Each jump spends Law Runes based on how far you are moving and how heavy you are, with a floor of one Law Rune per teleport. The number shown on the map is the distance to the target Lodestone divided by 1,000, multiplied by your total weight divided by 1,000.
As a reference point, teleporting 8,000 meters while weighing 400 kilograms rounds to roughly 3 Law Runes. Because heavy loads raise the cost, teleport home first to dump weight, then make the return jump light.
Stack that math against the loop and the pattern is clear. Carry only the compact Lodestone kit, offload your bulk at base, and pay a smaller toll on the trip back to your field point. Done consistently, it turns long overland hauls into a few seconds of loading and a handful of runes.
