Fisch: How to Get the Abyssal Gauntlets in Roblox

The Abyssal Gauntlets are Mythical gloves in Fisch that reveal a hooked fish’s mutation the moment the catch begins and raise your overall mutation odds. You earn them by finishing a quest handed out by Tenebris on the third layer of Mariana’s Veil, and the objectives must be cleared with a specific rod and specific mutated fish.

Quick answer: Speak to Tenebris in Abyssal Zenith, then catch 2 Wrath Lumin-Lure Lanternfish and perfect-catch 1 Wrath Void-Drifter Jelly using the Rod of the Zenith. Return to him to receive the Abyssal Gauntlets.

What you need before starting the quest

This reward is part of the Mariana’s Awakening questline, so access to Mariana’s Veil is the entry point. Once you can reach its layers, the Tenebris objective becomes available in Abyssal Zenith, the third layer.

Every fish for this quest must roll the “Wrath” mutation, and the jelly additionally needs a Perfect Catch. A normal catch without the mutation will not count toward the objectives.

Reach Tenebris in Abyssal Zenith

In the Traveler’s Whistle, choose Abyssal Zenith in the Mariana’s Veil region. You’ll arrive on the third layer immediately, without having to descend by hand.

Glide across the Anglerfish Pond toward Tenebris, who stands opposite the pond. Gliding rather than swimming keeps you clear of the anglerfish that patrol the water.

Interact with Tenebris to open the quest. He assigns two catch objectives that unlock the gloves once both are cleared.

Fish conditions for both quest targets

Both fish spawn in Abyssal Zenith, but they need opposite seasons and weather. Line up the in-game conditions below before casting so the correct fish can appear.

Complete the two catch objectives

With the Rod of the Zenith equipped, catch 2 Wrath Lumin-Lure Lanternfish at Abyssal Zenith. Both must roll the Wrath mutation to register, so keep fishing under the correct conditions until each one lands as a Wrath catch.

Set the season and weather to suit the jelly and catch 1 Wrath Void-Drifter Jelly. The catch also needs the Wrath mutation and a Perfect Catch: keep the fish within the control bar from start to finish of the reeling minigame.

Claim the Abyssal Gauntlets and confirm the reward

Return to Tenebris after both objectives are complete and talk to him again. He hands over the Abyssal Gauntlets, which appear as a new gloves item card in your inventory.

Hold the item and click to equip the gloves. While wearing them, you can see a hooked fish’s mutation as each catch begins, and they add +10% Universal Mutation Chance, helping you find mutated fish throughout the game. These gloves are also one of the five layer gauntlets needed to unlock the Obsidian Trench.
