The Elyos story in AION 2 opens on Poeta, an island the Balaur have turned into a hunting ground for Daeva. Chapter 1, Island of Death, Poeta, is a tight run of ten Episode quests that take you from a suspected prisoner washing up at the Dawn Legion Forward Base to a burning airship escape. The recommended levels climb from 2 to 9, and finishing all ten awards a total of 89,148 XP.
Quick answer: Follow the main-story quests in order starting with The Approaching Dawn from Guard Silvar, take your Ascension at level 5 during The Power in the Lake and Fledgling Wings, and finish with Brigade Base Neutralization from Caelid to close the chapter.
The ten Island of Death, Poeta quests in order
Each quest hands off directly to the next, so there is no branching to worry about. Pick up every quest as it appears and work through the objectives below.
1. The Approaching Dawn (Level 2)
The Approaching Dawn begins when Guard Silvar stops you at the Dawn Legion Forward Base after your escape from Ishtar Castle. The Legion is cautious because Daeva drained by the Balaur can mutate into Sura, so you need to prove you are still a Daeva before they let you stay. Turn it in to Eaetos.
The Kibelisk responds to anyone able to wield Odyle, clearing you of suspicion. Eaetos explains, “You’re capable of using Odyle. Good. We won’t need to worry about you turning into a Sura.”
2. Making Yourself Useful (Level 2)
Making Yourself Useful comes from Eaetos. He explains that the Legion is busy with an ongoing operation and has little help to offer, so you must show what you can contribute. Deliver the quest to Supply Soldier Arisel.
The Selvis obtained here serves as the Legion’s remote communication device and is important for the following quest. Nania acknowledges your initiative: “It’s nice to see you being so proactive. We need more of that attitude these days.”
3. Lost Supplies (Level 3)
Lost Supplies comes from Supply Soldier Arisel and sends you out with Robin to recover crates scattered during the Legion’s rough arrival on Poeta. Turn it in to Nania.

Call Robin using your Selvis. Join Robin to search Daminu Forest, watching for Balaur and Kerubar.
You retrieve the supplies and save a legionnaire attacked near the forest. Robin is hesitant to cooperate at first but comes around by the end, while Nania says Hithanya was the one who brought you in.
4. Withered Tree Daminu (Level 4)
Withered Tree Daminu is Nania’s reward for your help: information on how to recover your lost Daeva power. Poeta was once where Daeva came to ascend, and the scouts believe they have found Clione Lake. Turn it in to Daminu at Daminu Forest.

Ryan confirms the lake is real, “Exactly how the books portrayed it,” with a single Elim still guarding it. That Elim is Daminu, who greets you at the end, sensing your Daeva aura.
5. The Power in the Lake (Level 5)
The Power in the Lake begins the first part of your Ascension. Daminu offers to lead you through a trial so you can regain your divinity. Turn in the quest to Asahr in the Ascension Subspace.
Enter the Clione Lake Cave. Go to the Subspace of Ascension to face the Lake Guardian’s trial.
Daminu frames the choice directly: “Daeva, deprived of your divinity… Will you seek ascension once again?” Clear the Lake Guardian’s test and a radiant light carries you into the Ascension Subspace, where Asahr is waiting.

6. Fledgling Wings (Level 5)
The quest Fledgling Wings begins automatically in the Subspace of Ascension and brings your Ascension to completion. Asahr, whose voice you’ve been hearing, appears as AION’s will, seeking a Fragment of AION, and gives back your lost ability to fly. Return to Daminu at Daminu Forest to turn it in.

Become a Daeva through Ascension. Return to Daminu to report your Ascension.
This is the moment you gain your wings, and it gates everything that follows. Take it the moment it appears rather than grinding past it. Daminu may call you the last Daeva to ascend in Poeta.
7. Shattered Sky Island (Level 6)
Shattered Sky Island sends you to look for legionnaires who went silent during a mission. Nania both gives and receives this quest at the Forward Base.

The Updraft shoots you into the air so you can glide to your target, your first real use of flight. You find the missing legionnaires dead or wounded, fend off a Balaur attack, and return everyone safely. This quest pays out the Title: Draped in Sky alongside its other rewards.
8. Search Preparation (Level 7)
Search Preparation begins once Captain Caelid and Hithanya arrive and Caelid invites you to evacuate with the Legion to Verteron. The airship needs fuel, so you head for Drakana at the Migzatu Brigade Supply Depot. Nania gives it and takes it in at the depot.

Secure the area in front of the Migzatu Brigade Supply Depot with Nania, clearing the Kobolds first.
There is no Drakana at the entrance, so the plan shifts to going inside. As Nania sums it up, “Getting the Drakana won’t be so easy after all. We need to infiltrate the supply depot itself.”
9. Drakana Heist (Level 8)
Drakana Heist takes you inside the depot to join the advance party and secure the Drakana. Nania hands it over at the depot, and you report back to Caelid at the Forward Base.

Investigate inside the Brigade Supply Depot and reach the innermost storage.
Nania uses petrification traps so the group can clear the Balaur before any of them raise the alarm. A scout crafts explosives from the Drakana to break out, taking an injury in the process. Caelid notes your weapon has grown dull and gives you Enhance Stones, telling you to strengthen it for what comes next.
10. Brigade Base Neutralization (Level 9)
Brigade Base Neutralization closes the chapter. With Phernos rescued, the Legion needs a distraction to launch the airship, and you are sent to sabotage the Migzatu Brigade Base. Caelid gives it, and it ends with Nania in the Dawn Legion Recovery Room.
Infiltrate the Migzatu Brigade Base and destroy its communication towers.
You destroy the base, but the Balaur Dredgion strikes the Forward Base and kills the Daeva still inside. You race to the airship through the flames, barely shaking off pursuit, which sets up the start of the next chapter.
