Chapter two of the Elyos campaign, “Dreaming of Paradise,” begins after you collapse during your flight from Poeta and come to inside the Dawn Legion Base in Verteron. The main goal is to collect enough Odyle to rouse Phernos, who says he arrived from the paradise on the far side of the Bulwark. Across 15 episode quests, you travel through Cantas Valley, a Sura-filled cave on the coast, a marsh near death, and at last return to the base to awaken Phernos.
Quick answer: Chapter 2 runs 15 episode quests across Verteron, recommended for levels 10 through 16, awarding a combined 721,660 XP and the full Dawn armor set before you move on to hunt High Priestess Reda.
Settling in with the Dawn Legion
Dawn Legion starts automatically once you regain consciousness. Phernos was pulled out of Poeta alongside you but remains unconscious, and Caelid works out that waking him will take a large amount of Odyle, the power of AION that fuels every Daeva. You agree to help the legion collect it. The quest turns in to Hart.

All Geared Up, which Nania gives you, is a quick preparation errand before the main work. Have Etezia fix your broken Selvis, the device used for remote communication, and then answer Nania when she contacts you through it. Report to Kaidros, who shows you three mounts; select one of the pets to receive as your reward.
Odyle Collection, assigned by Kaidros, sends you to Cantas Valley, where the legion has set up collectors in an area rich in Odyle. Meet Nania at the Valley Outpost, then use the Western Odyle Collector and defeat 2 Hard Kalgolem to secure it. You discover that Lebronus, a legionnaire, went to the Cantas Valley Base to recover Odyle and has not returned. Complete the quest with Gabru.
Cantas Valley and the coastal cave
Bird’s-eye View sends you after the missing Lebronus. Gabru gives it; Luteros takes the turn-in at the Coastal Camp. Along the way you find that the valley’s Odyle is nearly gone and that the Balaur have planted Dratona eggs, which would overrun the area if they hatch.
Valley of Hope, which Luteros assigns, continues the Odyle search at a coastal cave said to harbor Sura. Accompany Luteros to the Coastal Cave, inspect the unusual barrierstone by its entrance, then get out and contact Nania through the Selvis. The cave contains plentiful Odylium, along with an extraordinary Sura whom Luteros identifies as Perion. Turn the quest in to Nania at the Coastal Camp.
Soaring Free deals with the grief that follows. Perion turns out to be the legion’s vice-commander, lost during a Balaur raid and trapped as a Sura ever since. Daeva turned into Sura are cremated by tradition, so Nania asks you to help prepare the funeral. Talk to Nania, then interact with the Crestlich Nest twice to gather feathers. “Perion loved to fly, so I want to send him off with feathers,” she explains. Both the start and turn-in go to Nania.
Perion’s funeral and the Daevanion
Visions in Smoke is given by Caelid and turns in to Asahr at the Dream Crossroad. Ride the Windstream to the cremation site to attend Perion’s funeral, then enter the Dream Crossroad when Asahr’s voice calls to you. Asahr, who names himself your Core, opens the path of the Daevanion, another power granted to Daeva. “Successor of AION’s will. I shall open the path of the Daevanion to you,” he tells you.
Allying with the Illusion Cavaliers
Illusion Cavaliers starts automatically at the Dream Crossroad and turns in to Rohin at the Eastern Cantas Campsite. The slow trickle of Odyle still was not enough to wake Phernos, so Caelid decides to seek out Spirit Fruit, a far more concentrated source, by enlisting the Illusion Cavaliers. The legion and the Cavaliers have a history of fighting over supplies, so repairing that trust is the first job.

Collapsed Barrier Tower, given by Rohin, introduces Ione, a Cavalier who knows the marsh best. It turns in to Ione at the Collapsed Barrier Tower.
Rampaging Spirits, assigned by Ione and returned to her, has one objective: activate the Rift Aura three times to soothe the marsh’s contaminated spirits and prevent further rifts from appearing. Ione explains, “If a Daeva expels their Odyle aura in one strong push, they can eliminate the rift aura,”. She will take you onward only once the rifts nearby have been cleared.
The Spirit Tree and the Etheria rifts
Beyond Etheria, given by Ione, turns in to Laveis at Spirit’s Rest. The Spirit King has severed his contract with Atreia following the deaths of the Empyrean Lords Kaisinel and Lumiel, and is pulling every spirit back to Etheria, which is why the rifts opened and Laveis went missing.
Undying Light, which Laveis gives you, has the tree spirit come back to renew its strength as you deal with the rifts still remaining. Deliver it to Hithanya at the Marsh Outpost.
Awakening Phernos
Awakened Hope, given by Hithanya, puts the Spirit Fruit to work. Take it to Caelid’s Office, then follow Caelid’s direction to go back outside. The fruit’s power is infused into Phernos; he awakens, troubled by nightmares. While he recovers, Luteros tells you of a relic called a Monolith inside the base and gives you an Amulet. Turn in the quest to Luteros.

Empyrean Monolith, also given by Luteros, teaches the Monolith system and turns back in to him.
Renewed Resolve brings the chapter to a close. Luteros assigns the quest, which you turn in to Hepallin outside the Command Post. You officially join the Dawn Legion, and Phernos finally arrives with an explanation: an Empyrean Core is needed to cross the Bulwark, and High Priestess Reda is believed to have one. Her last known location was the Verteron Fortress Ruins, now overrun by Balaur.
