AION 2 Western Altamia Highland Quests: Every Elyos Reward in Verteron

Western Altamia Highland is one of Verteron’s Elyos Regional quest hubs, built around the Notos Legion’s business in Zumion Village and a run of level 45 jobs out on the highland itself. Notos Legion and Zumion Village quests (Levels 33–37)

Too Far Gone (Level 33)

Too Far Gone opens the area at recommended level 33. A band of Renegade Daeva is raiding Rock Tomb Hill under Ordix, a former Notos legionnaire who deserted his unit mid-mission and turned bandit. Luen at Zumion Village hands it out; you report back to Rodelos at the Rock Hill Outpost.

Check the Wanted Board in Zumion Village to read the bounty poster on the group’s leader.

Speak with Luen about the poster. She points you toward the patrol members who last saw Ordix.

Travel to the Rock Hill Outpost and talk to Rodelos, who recounts the ambush and confirms the man in the red robe was Ordix.

Descend into the hillside cave and wipe out the Renegade Daeva Hideout, taking down the renegades and Ordix himself; afterward, report back to Rodelos. Over the recovered belongings, he says, “Strength means nothing if you don’t use it to help others.”

Tempestuous Dawn (Level 37)

Tempestuous Dawn sends you after one of Zumion’s Relics alongside Caelid and Dymones, two legionnaires with a bitter history. Arnok starts the quest at Zumion Village; Phernos receives the relic at the Relic Storage entrance. The excavated vault turns out to be a Balaur trap, and this time it is Caelid who ends up cut off and captured.

Head to the Notos Legion Office and meet Phernos, Caelid and Dymones to join the operation.

Go to the Fallen Relic Storage and secure it, fighting through the Balaur inside and freeing Caelid to recover Zumion’s Relic.

Bring Zumion’s Relic to Phernos. Even with Dymones injured, joining forces again softens the longstanding hostility between Dymones and Caelid.

Zumion’s Call: Part One (Level 37)

Zumion’s Call: Part One introduces Seraphine, a researcher obsessed with Zumion’s rise and fall. Dymones vouches for her and lends the Zumion Mace so she can resonate with old statues. You end the quest at Sacrifice’s Rest with Seraphine. As she puts it when the records surface, “To think such books would still be lying around, undiscovered!”

Have Dymones introduce you to Seraphine, then receive the mace.

Travel to the Destroyed Temple Site where the Estian Statue stands.

Speak with Seraphine to resonate with the statue, which reveals that records of Zumion’s origins may lie in Sacrifice’s Rest.

Go to Sacrifice’s Rest and put down the lingering Guardites so Seraphine can enter and read the texts.

Zumion’s Call: Part Two (Level 37)

Zumion’s Call: Part Two follows Seraphine as she chooses full priesthood in Zumion’s service over a life devoted only to scholarship. Seraphine both gives the quest and receives its completion. The priestly rites happen at the Altar of Trials, where her inner shadow emerges to challenge her faith before Zumion’s incarnation ordains her.

Read the book Seraphine hands over, An Introduction to Zumion, which lays out the steps to priesthood.

Discuss the book with Seraphine and agree to help with the joint purification ritual.

Head into the Zumion Trial Hall and light the correct brazier — the Brazier of Sacrifice — when Zumion’s Projection appears, then speak to it to clear the trial.

Tidy up the worn chests in Sacrifice’s Rest and talk to Seraphine to finish. Her closing words: “Thanks to you, Zumion’s will now resides in me.”

Mino’s Spacetime Rift quests (Level 45)

Both of these level 45 jobs come from the merchant Mino at the Beast Hunter Campsite, and both send you through a rift to Altgard to gather materials before returning to Verteron to hand them in.

Spacetime Rifts can appear in different locations at set times, and you can track them on the map. Each appearance triggers a message broadcast to the entire server.

Spacetime Rift: Perfect Tool

Spacetime Rift: Perfect Tool has Mino seeking a finished item to sell, not raw materials. He wants usable sickles from creatures on the far side of the rift, so defeat 10 Escaped Mumu Worker in Altgard to gather their scythes, then bring them to Mino in Verteron.

Spacetime Rift: Trendsetter

Spacetime Rift: Trendsetter is Mino’s fashion project, using the soft down of a winged creature from across the rift. Defeat 10 Ferocious Lupyllini in Altgard to gather their wing featherdown and bring it to Mino, who immediately starts creating a new item.

Hunter in Trouble (Level 45)

Hunter in Trouble is a simple collection job from Desron at the Beast Hunter Campsite. He’s fallen behind on his trade quota with the Wind Breeze Merchants. Defeat 15 Wild Stripe Tog for their leather, then return it to Desron at the campsite to receive your portion of the trade earnings.

Unfinished Operation

Unfinished Operation begins with Dranvis, wounded at the Notos Legion Outpost and the only survivor of a reconnaissance unit the Balaur captured near Nahid Fortress. The hideout proves to be a concealed Surana research facility. Inside, the squad’s commander is trapped in a test tube, transformed beyond rescue.

Talk to the wounded Dranvis to learn what happened to his squad.

Go to the Balaur facility hidden deep in the canyon and rescue the captured legionnaires, clearing the path as you push inside.

Find Dranvis outside the Drakan Laboratory and return to him. He accepts the commander’s effects and vows to continue carrying out his will.

Awaiting the Dawn

Awaiting the Dawn is the longest quest here, a seven-step goodbye before the group departs for Eltnen. Nania starts it at Zumion Village, sending you to bid farewell to Hithanya, who returned to the Dawn Legion Base after a clash with Phernos. Turn in the quest to Luteros at the base.

Talk to Orsen at the Dawn Legion Base, who points you toward the captain’s office.

Head to Caelid’s Office to learn where Hithanya is and what tasks she is juggling.

Head to the Old Empty House and take her place on the mission at Pilgrim’s Ridge.

Inspect the two member corpses at the ridge to assess the situation.

Enter the Old Empty House to observe what happened there.

Report the completed mission through Selvis.

Go back to Caelid’s Office; there, you can finally meet Hithanya and bid farewell as dawn breaks.

Unpurified Altar

Unpurified Altar begins with a panicked Arelio at the Hill of Purification. Monsters have overrun the Purifying Altar after an attempt to cleanse Meslamtaeda’s poison instead drew venomous insects to the corroded site. Leoni closes the quest at the Scarlet Forest, where the decision is made to seal the altar for good.

Travel to the Purifying Altar at the location Arelio provides.

Enter the altar to learn how bad the situation has become.

Enter the Notos Legion Clinic and help treat the wounded legionnaires.

Leave the clinic.

Ask Leoni how she is doing after being exposed.

Use the potion Leoni gives you to finish the quest.

Each quest completes the moment you hand it in to the listed NPC — the quest log marks it done and the Kina, XP and reward items drop into your inventory. Clearing all ten is worth running if you are gearing an Elyos character, since the stacked Daevanion Crystals, Wisdom Stones and titles feed directly into reaching the item level checks that gate later Verteron content.
