Reaching Level 45 in Aion 2 is where the real work starts. The quest markers thin out, and progression shifts to grinding Gear Power, farming specialized gear, and building account-wide stats. Everything below assumes you have just capped your level and want a clear order of operations.
Quick answer: Endgame opens at Level 45 and 1,000 Gear Power. Build that first, finish the Forgotten Commander and Ascension quests, then cycle Abyss, Conquest, Transcendence, and eventually Sanctuary content by Gear Power tier.
Reach 1,000 Gear Power before anything else
The gate to endgame is Level 45 plus 1,000 Gear Power. You need that number to progress the Forgotten Commander quest, which unlocks most of the systems that carry you forward. Do not rush it. Spread the work across the content that also pays out usable rewards.
- Regional Quests for Daevonian Board Points and accessories
- Strongholds for Belt Enhance Scrolls
- Sealed Dungeons for Daevonian Board Points and Skill Points
- Empyrean Traces for Amulet Enhance Scrolls and permanent account stats
- Expeditions for Unique gear
Empyrean Traces are worth calling out on their own. Each collectible gives a small permanent bonus to Attack, HP, or Defense that applies to your entire account. Individually they feel trivial, but there are well over a hundred of them, and they add up to more than a weapon upgrade over time.

Add to Google Preferences →Finish the main story and claim the Ascension Bracelet
With 1,000 Gear Power in hand, you can enter the Abyss and speak to Koro, the Shugo merchant at the Abyss base. That exchange closes out the prelude to the final main quest and hands you a Unique piece of gear tuned to your class. The Forgotten Commander line leads here, with the follow-up quest Daeva Trapped in a Nightmare continuing the thread.
After that point the game stops holding your hand. Keep clearing side content to push the story to its end. Regional Quests feed you accessories, Strongholds hand over Belt Scrolls, and Empyrean Traces supply Amulet Scrolls. Working through all of it lifts your Gear Power and opens the final Ascension quest, The One Who Witnesses the Nightmare.
That Ascension quest is recommended at Level 45, starts automatically at the Dream Crossroad, and tasks you with entering Zikel’s Collapsed Barracks, then Zikel’s Distorted Dream, and finally the Dream of Torment. Clearing it rewards the Ascension Bracelet, a Unique bracelet at item level 51.
The Ascension Bracelet comes with 65 Attack and 156 Defense, four manastone slots, and a maximum enchant of +15. Taken to +15 it adds 43 Attack and 108 Defense on top of its base. Its 156 Defense is the second-highest Defense value among the twelve bracelet items, behind the Abyssal Bracelet at 265. It is bound to you and cannot be traded.

Gear Power tiers and what they unlock
Most harder content gates behind Gear Power rather than level. Treat these numbers as checkpoints and chase the next bracket before moving up.
| Gear Power | What opens up | Main reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1,000 | Abyss entry, Forgotten Commander, final story | Class Unique gear |
| 1,200 | Spacetime Rifts | Enhance Stones, Abyss Points |
| 1,400+ | Conquest runs, Abyss RvR | Unique gear, Kina, Abyss Points |
| 1,600+ | Transcendence runs, Arena | Arcana cards |
| 2,800+ | Sanctuary Raids | Top-tier gear |
Conquests are heavier versions of Explorations with far better Unique drops. Krao Cave is a strong first stop because it rewards solid accessories, a shot at your class weapon, a large Kina payout, and guaranteed Uniques after enough runs.
Transcendence is the scaling challenge mode. Stages run from 1 to 4 and layer on modifiers like Poison Blood. Higher stages drop higher-rarity Arcana, which grant God-based stats and set bonuses at 2 and 4 pieces. Arcana is the only way to level active skills past their base power, so a low Transcendence level will make you feel weak even with high Gear Power.
Sanctuary Raids are the current ceiling. These are much harder Expeditions with party-wiping mechanics where every class has a defined role, and failing to play that role wipes the group. The gear from them is the best available right now.
The Abyss, the Monolith, and Spacetime Rifts
The Abyss is an open PvP zone and the source of Abyss Points, which the game describes as recognition earned through ceaseless combat. Your primary task there is to gather Empyrean Traces and power up the Abyss Monolith for stat boosts. Stay alert: members of the opposing faction can attack you anywhere in the zone.
Spend the Abyss Points you earn on Stigma Shards to push your Stigma Skills higher. For gear, the Abyss Point shop is also where your PvP set comes from, and the PvP weapon should be your first buy since its PvP Attack applies as a final multiplier after your other buffs.
Spacetime Rifts open at 1,200 Gear Power and let you cross into the opposite faction’s Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds. Clearing them hands over Enhance Stones and Abyss Points, so they slot neatly into your Abyss routine.
A player with a stacked PvP Damage bonus will usually win a trade against someone with higher raw Attack but no PvP stats, so the Monolith grind pays off directly in fights.
Your daily and weekly routine
Aion 2’s endgame leans on a weekly schedule, so the daily pressure is light. The one task you should never skip is your Duty Quests.
| Activity | Cadence | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Duty Quests | 5 per day (account) | Kina, crystals, materials |
| Conquest | 2 per day | Unique gear, Kina |
| Transcendence | 1 per day | Arcana |
| Nightmare | 2 per day | Dream Fragment currency |
| Ascension Tower | 3 per week | Mana Stones, fragments |
| Sanctuary | 2 per week | Top-tier gear |
Duty Quests are account-wide, not per-character, and you can reroll them for better rewards. Prioritize the ones with crystals in the first reward slot, since that slot is the guaranteed payout and crystals feed the pet system. The full set takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes a day.
Nightmares are solo boss fights that drop Clash Runes. Clear the early bosses once you have a solid Gear Power and you will bank four Clash Runes to enhance. These can break above +2, so keep a backup before attempting higher. Second and third-tier Nightmare bosses become available as your Gear Power climbs.
Manage your Odyle Energy
After finishing an Expedition, Transcendence, or Sanctuary, use Odyle Energy to unlock the reward cube. Your standard storage limit is 560 Odyle Energy; membership raises it to 840. Each consumable Odyle Energy item restores 40.

Since chests in Transcendence and Expeditions require Odyle, use it where the rewards are strongest instead of wasting it on poor-value runs. Keep dungeon entries and energy below their caps as well, so you don’t lose progression.
Long-term account power
A few systems keep paying out well past the point where your main gear is settled. Fold these into your routine once the weekly grind is comfortable.
- Field Bosses drop Artworks for your Pantheon, which grant meaningful stat boosts. Their health pools are huge, so expect crowds.
- Dismantle spare Unique gear for a skin plus a stat bonus tracked in the Closet screen.
- Collect every Pet to raise your Genus Insight, which adds stats that can tip close fights.
Work the brackets in order, keep your Duty Quests and energy from capping, and let Gear Power decide what you tackle next. Hit 2,800 and Sanctuary Raids become your weekly target, with everything else feeding the climb along the way.
