Every ghost’s in-game appearance window, its exact area, and the Devin Weston condition for the $250,000 completion reward.

Ghosts Exposed returns to GTA Online for Halloween 2026, and the ten apparitions have shifted to new spots across Los Santos and Blaine County. Each ghost shows up for a single in-game hour between 20:00 and 06:00, so being in the right place at the right time on the clock matters as much as knowing the spot.

Quick answer: One ghost appears each in-game hour from 20:00 to 06:00. Photograph ghosts 1–9 in any order with Snapmatic, then Devin Weston appears at Paleto Cove from 00:00–01:00 once the other nine are done.

All 10 ghost locations and in-game times

Each ghost has a fixed one-hour window on the in-game clock. For ghosts 1–9, there are two possible spots within the same area, so check both if the first is empty. The table is ordered by the clock, which places the final ghost at midnight even though it is always the last one you can capture.

Since the schedule switches between Blaine County and Los Santos, group the stops into a northern sweep and a city sweep instead of repeatedly traversing the map every two minutes. You can finish the hunt across multiple nights.

How photographing a ghost works

The appearances follow the in-game clock rather than your real-world time. Each ghost remains visible for one in-game hour, or about two real minutes. Get into position before that period begins instead of driving there as it starts. If you miss one, it appears again during the following in-game night.

  • Reach the area before the ghost’s hour begins.
  • Check both possible spots for ghosts 1–9 until the apparition is in view.
  • Bring up your phone, choose Snapmatic, then take a photo with the ghost clearly inside the shot.
  • Ghosts 1–9 can be captured in any order; the final ghost is locked until they are done.

A successful shot makes the ghost vanish and triggers the progress pop-up on screen, so you will see your count climb toward 10/10. Use that confirmation before moving on, since repeatedly photographing an empty spot does nothing.

Getting too close makes the ghost disappear. Line up the shot from a comfortable distance; step back, and it reappears.

Unlocking Devin Weston, the final ghost at Paleto Cove

The tenth ghost is Devin Weston, the billionaire from GTA V’s story, and he only appears at the Paleto Cove cliffs after you have photographed all nine other ghosts. He has a single spot, floating off the cliff above the water where he meets his end in the campaign.

The 00:00–01:00 period falls after ghost 4’s 23:00–00:00 appearance and before ghost 5’s 01:00–02:00 slot. Your ninth photo’s subject determines the wait: if it’s ghost 1, 2, 3, or 4, Devin appears at that same midnight, immediately after ghost 4’s hour. A ninth shot of ghost 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9 means returning for the following midnight.

Start a run at 01:00 with ghosts 5 through 9, then pick up 1 through 4 the following evening so your ninth photo lands before midnight and Devin spawns the same night.

Rewards and the deadline

Every ghost photo pays GTA$20,000 and 500 RP. Photographing the final ghost after the other nine adds a GTA$50,000 bonus, bringing the full hunt to $250,000 and 5,000 RP plus the Ghosts Exposed Jacket. The event can be completed on both characters per account, so you can run it twice for the cash.

You have until November 4 to find all ten ghosts before the hunt leaves GTA Online, so there is no need to rush a single night. Work through the nighttime windows at your own pace, grab Devin Weston last, and the jacket is yours once the tenth photo registers.
