How to Catch Mistdrop in SCROOMS (Rarity and Frequency Range)

Mistdrop is one of the mushroom creatures you collect in SCROOMS on Roblox. It lives in the starting area, carries a narrow frequency range, and fills slot six of fifteen on that area’s Index page. If you are trying to complete the opening region, this is one of the catches you will want early.

Quick answer: Stand in Songkeeper’s Grove with an instrument in hotbar slot 1, play near the scrooms, keep the pin on the white dot while tuning, then hold the scroom in the sliding catch zone until the bar fills. Mistdrop answers somewhere in the 30 Hz – 50 Hz range.

Mistdrop rarity, area, and frequency range

Mistdrop is an Uncommon scroom. Its Index entry is headed “Uncommon Scroom” and sits on the Songkeeper’s Grove page, which is the first area you reach. The flavour line printed under its name reads, “He’ll never go thirsty!”

Every Mistdrop you catch arrives with its own frequency somewhere inside that range. The exact number shows up in the catch message and on the creature’s card in your backpack. Two early catches landed at 32 Hz and 44.9 Hz, so expect each one to differ.

Mistdrop is not the rarest creature in the area. Acornub, Sunbrella, and Bloomcap share its Uncommon tier, while Burlcap and Dewleaf are Rare and sit a step above it.

How to catch Mistdrop in Songkeeper’s Grove

For every scroom, the capture method is identical. You can’t control which one your song draws, so play accurately and give Mistdrop a chance to appear. The grass beside the spawn sign, among Songkeeper’s Grove’s red wooden houses, is a dependable spot.

Put an instrument in hotbar slot 1 and equip it. The Tamer’s Guitar works fine here. Walk into the grass near the spawn sign where the scrooms gather.
Click to play the instrument, then click again on the ring to start the catch. A scroom answers the song, and if it is Mistdrop, its card appears in the catch window.
Keep the pin on the white dot while you tune. Then hold the scroom inside the sliding catch zone and keep it there until the bar under the track fills completely.

When the bar fills, the catch completes and a message prints on screen reading “You caught: Mistdrop! Frequency: [number] Hz”. That is the moment the creature is yours.

How you know the catch worked

Before your first Mistdrop, its Index card is a black silhouette labelled “???”. Catching one fills in the card with the full entry.

The Index entry then tracks two things under “Stats”: the highest frequency you have caught so far and the date you first caught one. Keep catching and the “Highest Frequency” figure updates whenever a new one beats your record.

Mistdrop tones: Melodic, Harmonic, and Resonant

Each scroom has three tones listed in its Index entry, and they are tracked separately from the base catch. Tones are versions of the same creature with a word added to the front of the name.

  • A tone shows as “Melodic Mistdrop”, “Harmonic Mistdrop”, or the Resonant version of the name.
  • One scroom can carry two tones at once, such as “Melodic Harmonic Mistdrop”.
  • The Index card shows Melodic as caught with a gold star; Harmonic has a cyan star.
  • Each tone line in the entry reads “Caught: [date]” once you get it, or “Uncaught” until then.

Filling in all three tones takes repeat catches, since the tone is determined at the moment the scroom answers rather than chosen by you. Keep playing in Songkeeper’s Grove and the Melodic, Harmonic, and Resonant lines fill in as the right versions appear.
