Neverness to Everness: Coal Lump’s Treasure Event Guide and Rewards

Introduced in update 1.4, Coal Lump’s Treasure is a temporary tower-defense activity for Neverness to Everness. Inside an arena at Pukaland, defend a central structure from successive monster attacks; your results earn Prism Drops for purchasing event rewards. The event runs from October 8 through November 11, 2026, leaving ample time to empty the shop.

Quick answer: Go to the Coal Lump NPC in Pukaland, survive enemy waves to protect his HP, and spend the earned Prism Drops in the Sweetbloom Sweets shop. Most players can stop at Wave 20 each run to farm efficiently.

Prism Drops, the event currency, have a daily earning limit that begins at roughly 1,000 and increases as the event progresses. There’s no need to farm everything on the first day: a handful of runs each day should let you buy out the shop at about day five.

How to start the event in Pukaland

Find Coal Lump’s Treasure in the event list from the main event menu. Press the “Go” button to mark its location in Pukaland Amusement Park automatically.
Teleport there, then head to the Coal Lump NPC at the event entrance, below the candy castle arch. Speak with him to open the challenge.
Lock in your team on the Formation screen, then select “Challenge” to enter the arena. You can save and exit a run partway through and return to it later.

How the mode works

The arena holds a central treasure structure (it looks like a giant cake) that you have to keep alive. Monsters spawn from all four edges and rush inward, so you cannot park in one corner. Watch Coal Lump’s HP bar on the left of your screen. If it empties, the run ends on the spot.

A full run spans 40 waves, with an elite boss arriving every fifth wave. Early waves of slimes and puffballs clear fast with basic area damage, but later rounds pile on tankier knights, tin soldiers, and swarms of rolling pig-bomb enemies that blitz the center.

Coins and candies

Defeated enemies leave Coal Lump Coins behind. Between waves, use them at the gacha vending machines in the arena corners to obtain candy buffs. Each candy provides a one-use active effect, and you can have one candy active at a time. Using another immediately replaces the current effect, so save the powerful ones for emergencies.

Boss buffs

Every wave-5 boss drops a buff when it dies. You pick one of three options (with a free reroll), and the choice stacks and lasts the entire match. Prioritize attack scaling and enemy movement-speed reduction so you can delete mobs before they reach the cake. Max HP buffs for Coal Lump are only worth it if you are pushing deep into the harder waves.

Tips to survive later waves

  • Intercept enemies at the outer edges. Don’t wait for them to crowd the center where they chip the cake’s HP.
  • Bring crowd control to regroup scattered mobs. Iroi, Sakiri, and Jiuyuan all pull enemies back into your damage zone.
  • Run a healer, since health drops are inconsistent. Juicy Gummies covers emergencies.
  • When Wave 20 overwhelms you with anomaly spawns, use movement-speed or enemy-slow candies to reach the corners first.

At Wave 20, you’ll be asked whether to proceed to higher-difficulty waves; the main change is increased enemy health. For daily-currency farming, the fastest option is to save and exit after Wave 20. Continue toward Wave 40 only if you’re pursuing a high score.

Rewards and the Sweetbloom Sweets shop

Prism Drops awarded for a run depend on how many enemies you defeat, the waves you complete, your clear speed, and Coal Lump’s remaining HP. Spend the drops at the Sweetbloom Sweets event shop. Completing milestones grants up to 320 Annulith and 200,000 Fons, along with progression materials.

  • Annulith
  • Fons
  • Floe Cinema Ticket
  • Chaotic Dye
  • Expansion Core
  • Heterogeneous Unit
  • Beetle Coin
  • Elite Hunter’s Guide

Two cosmetic titles sit outside the shop. The Bestie Supreme and Sweet Benefactor titles are unlocked by hitting high scores on your runs, with score tiers set at 2,500 and 7,200.

You know a run counted when the results screen appears with your final score and Konpeito count, and your event currency progress ticks up toward the daily cap on the event menu. From there, the Sweetbloom Sweets shop is where you cash everything in before the event closes on November 11.
