Anime Vanguards: How to Level Up the Transcendent SJW Quest to 100 Fast

Prioritize Gate clears, Exp Rush stages, and a speed team to push the Transcendent Song Jinwu questline to level 100.

The Transcendent Song Jinwu questline in Anime Vanguards runs on a level track that caps at 100, and every stage you clear feeds that track by a fixed amount. Knowing which encounters pay out the most lets you skip the slow grind and reach the cap in a fraction of the time.

Quick answer: Clear quest stages for +1 level each, prioritize Gate encounters for +5 levels per clear, and route objectives through Exp Rush or high-spawn Codex stages so each step finishes in seconds.

How quest levels are earned

The questline progresses by level, not by a single long objective. Each encounter type adds a set number of levels, so the quickest path to 100 is chasing the encounters that pay the most for the least time.

Encounter typeLevels gained
Normal quest stage+1 per completion
Gate encounter+5 per clear
Emergency QuestUp to +3 extra levels

Gates are worth five times a normal step, so clearing one whenever it appears is the single biggest time saver. When a Gate opens you get an on-screen notification telling you to clear the stage to gain 5 levels.

Emergency Quests hand out bonus levels on top of a normal step, but they carry harder modifiers and spawn enemies suddenly, often close to your base. Treat them as a payout worth fighting for carefully rather than something to rush.

Pick the fastest stage for each objective

Many quest steps ask you to defeat a specific enemy a set number of times, or to clear a named stage. The quest’s own “GO” button often sends you to a slow option, so it pays to find the fastest stage that satisfies the same objective.

For objectives that target a named enemy, open the Codex from the main menu and search that enemy. The Codex lists every stage where it appears along with how many spawn.
Choose the stage with the highest spawn count. An Act that spawns up to 22 of the target clears a “defeat x3” objective far faster than an Act that spawns only three.
For boss and clear objectives, check whether the enemy appears in an Exp Rush stage. Exp Rush runs finish in roughly 15 to 20 seconds, and some bosses spawn directly inside them. Flower Country Exp Rush and Downtown Tokyo Exp Rush are strong examples.

Direct “clear this stage” quests such as a Legend or Story stage must be completed in full without skips, so they take longer than enemy-defeat objectives. Bank the quick Exp Rush and Codex steps first.

Several stages also end the moment the target boss dies, skipping the remaining enemy waves entirely. When a step only asks you to defeat a boss, you can leave as soon as it falls.

Speed team for clearing and emergency defense

A loadout built around fast room-wide clears handles both the standard stages and the sudden spawns in Emergency Quests. Song Jinwu and Igros is mandatory in the team because the quest requires it; the rest of the slots are tuned for speed.

UnitRole
Vanguard SukunaPrimary room-wide fast clears from high-range passives
Bounty Hunter (King of Hell)Cheap early placement against sudden spawns near base
Elastic Captain (Cog 5th)Stalling enemies on the path
SprintwagonRapid farming and income (Unlikely Doctor / Top Tier Support)
Apathetic Savior (Door)Crescendo buffs and status effects

Sukuna does the heavy lifting on clear speed thanks to his wide range, so place him where he covers the most track. Bounty Hunter goes down on wave 1 as a cheap early answer to spawns that appear right beside your base during Emergency scenarios.

Elastic Captain holds enemies in place long enough for Sukuna to delete them, while Sprintwagon farms income so you can fill the board quickly. Apathetic Savior layers on Crescendo buffs and status effects to push damage higher.

Use consumables to burst down emergency bosses

Tough boss waves and Emergency encounters can stall a run. Trigger consumables from the sidebar to cut through them quickly. Strength Boost raises your damage for the fight, and Cure All, Phoenix Down, and Investment cover recovery and income support.

A hard target like the Ant King on Legend Stage 4 Act 1 Nightmare goes down far faster with a Strength Boost active during the boss wave. Once a consumable is spent, the game marks it as USED for that run.

Set up Auto Play for repeat stages

Auto Play handles the repetitive, low-risk stages so you can farm steps without manual input. Open the Auto Play menu, assign your units to their placement slots, and save the preset so the game deploys and upgrades them automatically each run.

Play Emergency Quests manually. Their sudden spawns and harder conditions can wipe an Auto Play run that is not reacting to the new threats.

Confirming each step counted

After a normal step, a “Quest complete!” notification appears with “+1 Level Investment +5000 Gems,” and a fresh System Quest is offered right away. After a Gate clear, the level total jumps by five. When both of those show up, your progress toward 100 is locked in, and you can move straight into the next step.
