Transmuted Persistence is one of the earliest Ambers you can collect in Valor Mortis, and it sits just a short run from the very first Lantern. Equip it and every Transmutation hit starts clawing back the pale, recoverable section of your health bar, which makes the Fire Transmutation a healing tool as well as a weapon.

Quick answer: From the first Lantern (Onslaught Arch), take the path on the left, burn the growth blocking it, cross the battlefield and wooden bridge, then burn a second growth on the left to reach the chest holding the Amber.

What the Transmuted Persistence Amber does

Transmuted Persistence restores Recoverable Health whenever you damage an enemy with a Transmutation. Recoverable Health is the faded red portion of your bar left behind after you block an attack, the slice you would normally win back by landing melee strikes. With this Amber slotted, Transmutation damage reclaims that slice instead.

It is a single-rank Amber, so there is only one copy in the game and no upgraded versions to hunt down. You equip it at any Lantern through the level-up menu, and you unlock more Amber slots as you raise your character level.

Route from the first Lantern to the chest

You need the Fire Transmutation for this run, since two yellow growth barriers block the way. The game hands you that ability early, so this is reachable in your opening hour.

Stand at the first Lantern, Onslaught Arch, and face the path immediately on the left. Burn the yellow growth barrier blocking it with the Fire Transmutation to open the way onto the muddy battlefield road.
Follow the main road forward across the war-torn field. Deal with the scattered enemies as you go and pass under the arched wooden entryway, staying on the primary path rather than wandering off it.
Continue past the burning carts and debris until you reach a wooden bridge that runs beneath a gate structure. Cross it.

Three hostile soldiers wait on the far side. Clear all three, then turn to look at the left edge of the area, where a glowing organic growth seals off a side path.
Burn the growth away with the Fire Transmutation to open the side camp behind it.

Kill the two enemies guarding the clearing, then approach the ornate red chest on the ground and hold the open prompt to claim Transmuted Persistence.

The same area can also be reached by entering a cage where you get trapped with the three soldiers. Clear them, leave the way you came, and the burnable growth sits on your immediate right instead of the left, leading to the same chest.

How to confirm you have it

Opening the chest adds Transmuted Persistence to your inventory under the Ambers category. To use it, rest at a Lantern, open the level-up menu, and equip it into a free Amber slot. The effect only applies once it is slotted, not while it sits unequipped.

Dark settings screen with two sample landscapes and Gamma and Brightness sliders at 100 percent above a Confirm button.
The Valor Mortis display setup screen asks players to adjust Gamma and Brightness, both set to 100%, until bright and dark areas are clearly visible.

Because it tops out at rank 1 with a single copy placed, there is no second or third pickup to find. One trip to the battlefield chest completes it for good, and it pairs naturally with the Fire Transmutation you already carry at this point in the run.
