Purple Essence is an Epic relic tied entirely to Operation: Egg Heist in Aniimo. You feed it into the Egg Heist Talents system, so stockpiling it directly improves how much loot you can carry out of future runs.
Quick answer: Defeat the guarding Aniimo inside the Lost Sanctum during Operation: Egg Heist. Higher-tier enemies on harder difficulties have a chance to drop Purple Essence.

Where Purple Essence drops in Operation: Egg Heist
Purple Essence comes from combat inside the sanctum layouts you explore during a heist. It is not pulled from chests, urns, or egg nests. Instead, it forms from the energy of a defeated guardian, so you have to find and kill the right enemies.
The drop is tied to the tougher Aniimo guarding the Lost Sanctum rather than the common corridor enemies that hand you Blue Essence. Clearing weaker monsters mostly nets Blue Essence and crafting materials, while Purple Essence appears from higher-tier guardians on harder difficulty settings. If you only run the easiest mode, expect Blue Essence and little else.
- Enter Operation: Egg Heist and take the portal into the Lost Sanctum.
- Work through the sanctum corridors and chambers to reach the guarding Aniimo.
- Defeat the guardian for a chance at Purple Essence, often alongside Blue Essence.
The mode runs with enemies at level 45 to 50 and supports one to three players. Once you have cleared what you came for, head to the exit portal, return to Ancient Harbor, and board the Egg Boat to evacuate.
Fainting during a heist costs you your backpack contents and equipped gear. Looted Purple Essence is safe only after you evacuate successfully and reach the Adventure Successful results screen.

Add to Google Preferences →Trade for Purple Essence in the Hot shop
If farming guardians is slow, the Hot shop offers a direct exchange. You can buy Purple Essence there for 1 Gold Essence each, which is useful if you have surplus Gold Essence from longer runs.
The exchange also runs in the other direction down the tier chain. Spending 1 Purple Essence in the Hot shop returns 2 Blue Essence, so the three essences form a simple conversion ladder of Gold to Purple to Blue.
What Purple Essence is used for
Purple Essence is spent on Egg Heist Talents, the progression track that makes each run more rewarding. Opening the Talents menu under Egg Heist shows nodes such as Quick Recovery I and Half-Price Goods I, each listing its Blue Essence and Purple Essence cost.
Because talents make it easier to survive and haul rewards out of the sanctum, Purple Essence is best kept for upgrades rather than dismantled for coins. Farming essence to level talents is a valid alternative to chasing eggs, since you can clear enemies, grab the drops, and evacuate without ever digging a nest.

Purple Essence stats and dismantle value
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Type | Ancient Relic (Other) |
| Rarity | Epic |
| Weight | 1 kg |
| Sells for | 6,750 Eggshell Coin |
| Dismantles into | 6,750 Eggshell Coin |
Both selling and dismantling return the same 6,750 Eggshell Coin, so there is no hidden bonus to breaking it down. If you are committed to upgrading Egg Heist Talents, hold your Purple Essence for the talent tree and convert only what you will never spend.
