Fortnite: How to Get the Free Lady Liberty Purge Skin

Place high enough in your region's Lady Liberty Cup on October 17 and the outfit, back bling, and emote are yours.

Place high enough in your region’s Lady Liberty Cup on October 17 and the outfit, back bling, and emote are yours.

Lady Liberty, the Statue of Liberty-masked killer from The Purge: Election Year, is joining Fortnite as part of Fortnitemares 2026. You can buy her in the Item Shop, or you can earn her for free in the Lady Liberty Cup. That is a solo tournament, so the free route depends on how well you play in a single three-hour window.

Quick answer: Play the Lady Liberty Cup (Battle Royale or Zero Build Solo) on October 17, 2026, from 1PM to 4PM ET. Finish within your region’s rank cutoff to earn the outfit. Score 8 points to earn the emote.

Lady Liberty Cup schedule and format

Epic runs the cup as two separate sessions on the same day. One uses Battle Royale settings and the other uses Zero Build. Both are Solo. Each session lasts about three hours. A match only counts if it starts before the session closes.

The Compete tab lists the cup in your local time. In Central Europe, for example, the same window appears as 7PM to 10PM. Epic notes that dates can shift, so the final times are the ones shown in the game.

Rank needed for the Lady Liberty skin in each region

The outfit goes to the top point earners on each regional leaderboard. Your region decides how deep the cutoff goes. The same cutoffs apply to both the Battle Royale and Zero Build sessions.

Lady Liberty Cup rewards

There are two prize tiers. The lower tier is much easier to reach, and it is a points target rather than a leaderboard position.

RequirementReward
Regional placement cutoffLady Liberty Outfit
Regional placement cutoffPurge Drone Back Bling
8 pointsPurge Mask Emote

You get the outfit and the back bling together when you reach your region’s placement. The 8-point emote threshold works the same way in every region. Four eliminations across your matches is enough to reach it.

How Lady Liberty Cup scoring works

You earn points from both eliminations and placement in every match you play, up to the 11-match cap.

  • Each elimination is worth 2 points.
  • Placement points start at 1 point for a Top 50 finish.
  • Second place is worth 53 points.
  • A Victory Royale is worth 60 points.
  • An elimination counts toward you based on the kill feed and the in-match elimination counter.

If two players finish level, Epic breaks the tie in a fixed order. It compares total points first, then total Victory Royales. After that it looks at average eliminations, then average placement per match. The last tiebreaker is total seconds survived across all matches.

Zero Build matches leave little cover. Third-partying fights that are already underway is an efficient way to pick up eliminations.

Entering the Lady Liberty Cup

Only ranked players are eligible for prizes. The in-game eligibility check also requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) and account level 50, and it applies an age restriction. On PC, the check also lists IOMMU, TPM, Secure Boot, and Account Lock. Clear these before the session opens.

Open the Compete tab in Fortnite and find Saturday, October 17 on the calendar. Select either Lady Liberty Cup Battle Royale Solo or Lady Liberty Cup Zero Build Solo.
Open the cup’s Eligibility Check and look at each requirement. Fix any item that is not marked as met, such as MFA or account level.
If “Rank is Valid” fails, go to the Battle Royale mode selection screen. Switch Ranked to ON there so your account has a valid rank.
Accept the official rules when you are asked to, then queue into the session once it opens. Make sure every match you want counted begins before the three-hour window closes.

Once you join, your point total and position appear on the session’s in-game leaderboard. That leaderboard decides who wins prizes.

How you know you won the Lady Liberty skin

Your final position on the leaderboard when the session ends tells you whether you made the cutoff. The win is not confirmed yet at that point. Epic emails potential winners at the address linked to their Epic account. That email arrives within 60 days of the session ending, and Epic then verifies your eligibility.

  • You have 45 days from that email to reply with any information Epic asks for.
  • Keep the account you competed on active until verification is finished.
  • Players living in Turkey or Russia cannot win prizes.
  • If you already own these cosmetics from another event or method, you are not eligible for them again.
  • Prizes cannot be transferred to another account.

You will know the reward has been granted when the Lady Liberty Outfit, Purge Drone Back Bling, or Purge Mask Emote shows up in your locker.

Lady Liberty Item Shop prices if you miss the cutoff

Lady Liberty also arrives in the Item Shop on October 17, 2026, with the daily rotation. She appears under a section called “The Purge: Election Year.” Epic has not confirmed final prices. The figures below are expected prices.

ItemExpected price
Purge Bundle (all items)2,500 V-Bucks
Lady Liberty Outfit1,500 V-Bucks
Purge Drone Back Bling500 V-Bucks
Electrified Flex Emote500 V-Bucks

The Purge Mask Emote is not on that list. It is earned only through the cup’s 8-point threshold, so reaching 8 points is worth it even if the outfit cutoff is out of reach. The shop items are expected to stay listed for at least a week before rotating out later in October.
