Broken Blade of the Benevolent Walkthrough in Where Winds Meet (Qingzhou Wandering Tales)

Broken Blade of the Benevolent is one of the shortest Wandering Tales in Qingzhou. It is a single delivery between two former bandits who went separate ways, and you can finish it in about a minute and a half. There is no combat, no puzzle, and no branching choice. You carry a bag from one man to the other, then watch them reunite.

Quick answer: Talk to Sun Jiu by the stone lions outside the Golden Basin Escort Agency in Wellspring Town. Then bring Sun Jiu’s Bag to Hu Yue, who sits at a table inside the agency’s courtyard.

Broken Blade of the Benevolent start location

The quest begins in Wellspring Town, part of Qingzhou Eastern Peak. In the Exploration menu’s Wandering Tales tab, it is filed under Wellspring Town Part 2. The journal entry says a Jianghu wanderer named Sun Jiu is looking for someone near the Golden Basin Escort Agency, and that is exactly where you will find him.

Both NPCs stand in the same spot, so you do not need to fast travel partway through the quest. Sun Jiu waits outside the agency’s front gate, and Hu Yue sits just inside it.

How to complete Broken Blade of the Benevolent

Go to Wellspring Town and cross the stone bridge toward the Golden Basin Escort Agency. Look for Sun Jiu standing beside the pair of stone lion statues at the entrance, then talk to him.

Listen to his story. Sun Jiu says he is searching for a bladesman with a broken blade, and he admits he once robbed caravans around Qingzhou as a bandit. When the conversation ends, you receive Sun Jiu’s Bag, which holds his wedding invitation and wedding cakes.

Enter the Golden Basin Escort Agency compound through its gate; the training yard is immediately inside.

Captain Hu Yue is seated at a table in one corner of the yard. Speak to him and hand over Sun Jiu’s Bag when prompted.
