AION 2 Daevanion Crystal: Azphel Effects and How to Get

Each crystal adds one point to the level 45 PvP board, and completing that board takes 232 points.

Each crystal adds one point to the level 45 PvP board, and completing that board takes 232 points.

In AION 2, the Azphel Daevanion board does not use your regular Daevanion points. Every node on it is paid for with Azphel Daevanion Points, and you get those by consuming Daevanion Crystal: Azphel. The crystal works only on the level 45 PvP board. It does nothing for Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel, or Triniel, so you can’t use it to top up your general skill progression.

Quick answer: Use one Daevanion Crystal: Azphel to gain one Azphel Daevanion Point. You get crystals from the Abyss Points shop for 10,000 each, from the Ereshkigal Monolith, from coin shops, or by using Substance Morph on Fragment: Azphel’s Trace.

Daevanion Crystal: Azphel effect and item stats

The crystal does one thing. When you use it, your character gains a single Azphel Daevanion Point. That point goes into the Azphel pool, which is separate from the pool shared by the first four boards. Spending Azphel points never takes anything away from your Nezekan or Zikel routes, and regular points cannot be spent on Azphel.

The crystal is bound, so you can’t buy it from or sell it to other players. Any crystal you hold had to be earned or bought on that character. Because a single stack holds up to 1,000, you can bank every crystal you need for the full board without running out of inventory space.

How to get Daevanion Crystal: Azphel

There are four ways to get the crystal: buy it with Abyss Points, earn it at the Ereshkigal Monolith, buy it from a coin shop, or convert Azphel fragments through Substance Morph. All of them belong to level 45 content, which matches the board’s own level requirement.

Buy it with Abyss Points

Abyss Points are the honor currency you earn in faction warfare. The crystal is listed in the shop at 10,000 Abyss Points. If you already spend time in PvP, this is the most direct route, because the activity that fills the board also pays for it.

Earn it from the Ereshkigal Monolith in Lower Abyss Reshanta

Upgrading the Ereshkigal Monolith earns Azphel points. To enter Lower Abyss Reshanta, your character must be level 45, and your item level must reach 1,000.

Open the Abyss menu and teleport to Lower Abyss Reshanta. You arrive at Primum Base, where the monolith stands.
Fly around Reshanta and pick up the feathers floating in the air. They are scattered across the whole zone, so a wide loop collects more than staying near the base.
Return to Primum Base and hand the feathers in at the Ereshkigal Monolith. Each level the monolith gains moves you closer to its Azphel point rewards.

Convert Fragment: Azphel’s Trace with Substance Morph

Fragment: Azphel’s Trace is a Common-grade material with no level requirement. Run it through Substance Morph, and it turns into Daevanion Crystal: Azphel. The fragment comes in a regular version and a bound version, and you can’t trade either one. The unbound version sells to a vendor for 100 Kina, but morphing it is the only way it adds anything to your board.

Coin shop

The crystal is also sold in a coin shop, separate from the Abyss Points listing. Whichever way you buy or earn it, it arrives bound to the character that received it.

How many Azphel crystals the board needs

Every class’s Azphel board has 152 nodes and a point cap of 232. Since each crystal is worth one point, filling the board completely takes 232 Azphel points. The nodes are split across four grades.

Node gradeCount
Common104
Rare24
Unique8
Legend16

For Gladiator, Templar, Ranger, Assassin, Spiritmaster, Sorcerer, Cleric and Chanter, a finished Azphel board adds the same set of stats.

StatTotal on a full board
HP400
MP200
PvP Defense720
PvP Evasion72
PvP Accuracy120
PvP Critical Hit120
PvP Damage Boost6%

Almost all of these totals are PvP stats. HP and MP are the exceptions, and they still help in PvE. If you change your route later, refunding a node costs 500 Kina per node. That cost adds up fast on a 152-node board, so plan your path before you spend a large batch of crystals.

Using the crystal and confirming the point

Select the crystal in your inventory, choose how many you want to consume, and press Use. Your character must be level 45. Then open Daevanion (U on PC with the default keybind) and switch to the Azphel board. Your available Azphel points should have gone up by the number of crystals you used. The crystals also disappear from your inventory stack, and the regular point pool for the other four boards stays the same.
