AION 2 Daevanion Crystal: Marchutan Effects and How to Get

One crystal grants one Marchutan Daevanion Point, and it comes only from the battle pass or Substance Morph.

Daevanion Crystal: Marchutan is one of the named Daevanion crystals in AION 2. Each one adds a single Marchutan Daevanion Point to your character. You cannot farm it the way you farm standard crystals. Sealed Dungeons, Regional quests, and the Nightmare and Shugo Festival shops do not award it.

Quick answer: Claim it from the battle pass, or use Substance Morph on Fragment: Marchutan’s Trace. The bound crystal needs character level 45 to use and gives 1 Marchutan Daevanion Point.

Daevanion Crystal: Marchutan effects and stats

The crystal has one effect. Using it grants 1 Marchutan Daevanion Point. It does not give a regular Daevanion Point, so it cannot top up the shared pool that the Nezekan, Zikel, Vaizel, and Triniel boards draw from. The game files hold two versions of the item. The bound copy is the one you hold and use.

The crystal is bound to your character. It goes into character storage, but not server storage. Public and personal trade are both locked. You can’t buy it from other players or pass it to an alt. Every copy has to be earned on the character who will spend it.

How to get Daevanion Crystal: Marchutan

Two routes produce the crystal. Neither one overlaps with the activities that hand out standard Daevanion Crystals.

Battle pass rewards

The bound crystal is a battle pass reward. It drops into your inventory as a usable item once you claim the matching reward tier. You can still claim it before level 45, but you can’t consume it until your character reaches that level.

Substance Morph from Fragment: Marchutan’s Trace

The second route is Fragment: Marchutan’s Trace (Bound), a Common-grade misc item. Run it through Substance Morph to turn it into Daevanion Crystal: Marchutan. Like the crystal, the fragment is bound and cannot be traded, so you have to collect it on the same character.

A Sealed Dungeon clear such as Fissure Cave in Verteron awards Daevanion Crystal (Bound) x2. That is the standard crystal, not the Marchutan version, so dungeon runs won’t build your Marchutan points.

Marchutan crystal vs. standard and other named crystals

AION 2 has a family of Daevanion crystals. Each named crystal feeds its own point type, so the crystals don’t substitute for one another.

Shop limits, Kina refunds, and point estimates for the regular boards only cover the standard Daevanion Crystal. A Marchutan crystal sitting in your bag does not count toward any of them.

How to use Daevanion Crystal: Marchutan

Open your inventory on a character that is level 45 or higher. Find the Daevanion Crystal: Marchutan (Bound) stack.
Select the crystal and set how many you want to consume. One stack can hold up to 1,000.
Press Use to consume the selected crystals. Each one converts into one Marchutan Daevanion Point.

To check that it worked, look at your inventory and then the Daevanion menu (U on PC with default keybinds). The stack count should drop by the amount you used. Your Marchutan Daevanion Point total should rise by the same number, while your regular Daevanion Point pool stays the same.
