Phoenix Reffaella, the S-Rank Fire Anomaly Agent from the Krampus Compliance Authority, is set to arrive in Zenless Zone Zero 3.3. Test-build footage shows her at full investment against the version’s Deadly Assault content. With Cinema 6 and her signature W-Engine, paired with Velina Airgid and Remielle Dan, her team runs Anomaly combos that push past 80 million damage in a single burst window. The runs come from a test build that carries an on-screen disclaimer, so every number here can still change before release.
Quick answer: A Cinema 6 Phoenix with Velina and Remielle Dan cleared both test stages at S-Rank, scoring 60,000 in 1:03 and 65,000 in 1:59. Both runs finished far under the three-minute limit.
Phoenix M6W5 results in the 3.3 test build
The footage covers two encounters. The first takes place in a circular test arena against Level 70 robotic enemies. The second is a Deadly Assault boss fight in a broken, neon-lit city arena. Both use the standard Deadly Assault scoring thresholds, with 6,000 points for B-Rank, 14,000 for A-Rank, and 20,000 for S-Rank.
| Stage | Clear time | Total score | Breakdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1 (Level 70 enemies) | 00:01:03 | 60,000 | 60,000 damage, 0 performance |
| Stage 2 (Deadly Assault boss) | 00:01:59 | 65,000 | 60,000 damage, 5,000 performance |
The first stage is a short damage check. The team swaps in and out through Assist Attacks, builds up Anomalies, and fires Ultimates until the enemies go down for a Wipeout in just over a minute.

Stage 1 reached its damage cap with no Performance Points at all. The results screen shows the full 60,000 coming from damage.

The boss encounter tests more than damage output. Prompts on screen signal when to perform a Perfect Dodge or Perfect Assist to negate the opening portion of the boss’s Control Skill damage, and when to hit Space to interrupt its string of attacks. The squad uses EX Special Attacks, Chain Attacks, counters, and Ultimates in rotation, while inflicting Luminize, Refringe, Abloom, Windswept, and Burn. The player earned all 5,000 Performance Points in addition to 60,000 damage points.

Why Phoenix’s Anomaly damage reaches 80 million
Anomaly Agents traditionally had no use for CRIT stats, since Attribute Anomaly damage was unable to land critical hits. Phoenix alters that rule for the entire squad. Her Core Passive, Nirvana, inflicts Sear on an enemy for 20 seconds each time a squad member deals Attribute Anomaly DMG. While an enemy is Seared, Attribute Anomaly DMG of any element can critically hit it.
- Sear is triggered by any squad member’s Attribute Anomaly DMG, not only Phoenix’s.
- A Seared enemy periodically suffers Fire DMG worth 50% of her ATK.
- Anomaly CRIT Rate rises with each point of initial Anomaly Mastery above 155.
- The CRIT Rate bonus is capped at 255 initial Anomaly Mastery.
- Her Additional Ability, Krampus Ace, adds 15% CRIT DMG with an Anomaly or Krampus teammate.
The Phoenix in this footage sits at exactly 255 Anomaly Mastery, which is the cap. That means every Burn, Vortex, Abloom, Windswept, Refringe, and Luminize the team lands on a Seared boss can crit at her maximum rate. Her own damage also comes through Abloom, which her weapon throw and her return from Ultimate both trigger. Stacking all three Agents’ Anomalies against one target in a Chain Attack window is what produces combos in the tens of millions.
Unlike most characters, Phoenix’s Ultimate consumes her entire HP bar to cause an explosion, then uses a Quick Assist to pass control to the next Agent. The next time she enters the field, she regains the HP spent and an additional 10% of her Max HP, while activating an enhanced Abloom.
Phoenix, Velina, and Remielle Dan team build
All three Agents are Level 60 with Cinema 6/6 and Level 16 skills. Every member is an Anomaly specialist, and each covers a different attribute.
| Stat | Phoenix Reffaella | Velina Airgid | Remielle Dan |
|---|---|---|---|
| Attribute | Fire | Wind | LumiFlux |
| ATK | 2,538 | 2,756 | 4,092 |
| Anomaly Mastery | 255 | 112 | 115 |
| Anomaly Proficiency | 438 | 419 | 475 |
| CRIT Rate / DMG | 9.8% / 54.8% | 9.8% / 78.8% | 14.6% / 59.6% |
| Energy Regen | 1.2 | 2.88 | 1.2 |
| W-Engine | Plume of Rebirth | Not shown | Ode of Protected Wings |
| Drive Discs | Freedom Blues, Phaethon’s Melody | Swing Jazz, Wuthering Salon | Freedom Blues, Feathered Fate |
Phoenix Reffaella is geared almost wholly toward reaching her Anomaly Mastery cap. Plume of Rebirth provides 30% Anomaly Mastery as its advanced stat, 90 Anomaly Proficiency, and a Fire DMG boost that triggers when any squad member lands a critical hit with Anomaly damage. The 2-piece Phaethon’s Melody supplies the rest of her Mastery, while 4-piece Freedom Blues reduces the target’s Anomaly Buildup RES when her EX Special Attack connects. This helps her generate more Burn procs for her teammates to use.

Velina Airgid supplies Wind, which unlocks Vortex and Windswept reactions alongside Phoenix’s Fire. Her high Energy Regen keeps her skills cycling, and her discs are a mix of Swing Jazz and Wuthering Salon.

Remielle Dan has the highest raw ATK on the team and brings LumiFlux, the source of Luminize in the footage. Like Phoenix, she runs Freedom Blues, paired here with Feathered Fate and the Ode of Protected Wings W-Engine, which carries a 30% ATK advanced stat.

M6W5 vs M0W1 Phoenix in Deadly Assault
The same three Agents also appear at minimum investment in a separate 3.3 test run. That version uses Phoenix, Velina, and Remielle all at M0W1, with Phoenix at 12/12 skills and wearing Freedom Blues with Chaos Jazz. Both of those clears still reached S-Rank, but they used nearly the whole timer.
| Investment | Encounter | Total score | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| M0W1 team | New 3.3 boss | 56,379 | 00:03:04 |
| M0W1 team | Phaethon of the Scorched Horizon | 46,887 | 00:03:01 |
| Cinema 6 team | Deadly Assault boss | 65,000 | 00:01:59 |
The fully invested team clears in roughly a minute less while reaching the scoring ceiling. The base squad already secures the S-Rank threshold, though, so the Cinema 6 copies mostly buy speed and margin rather than access to the top reward tier.
Phoenix Reffaella release in Zenless Zone Zero 3.3
Phoenix headlines the 3.3 Phase 1 banner, which starts on October 21, 2026. Plume of Rebirth arrives in the W-Engine Channel during the same phase. She also comes with two outfits, The Illness Called Life and Daydream Complex. Both are sailor-style school uniforms in swapped colors, and the dressing menu in the footage shows them with an eyepatch.
Her kit shifted several times during testing, and her signature W-Engine appeared under the name Nirvana’s First Plume in an earlier build. Treat exact damage figures from test footage as provisional until the live version is out.
What the footage does establish is how the team works. Phoenix is most effective in a team where every slot deals Anomaly damage, and capping her Anomaly Mastery at 255 is the stat that turns that team’s Burns, Vortexes, and Ablooms into critical hits. The 80-million combos depend on Cinema 6 investment, but the Sear and Anomaly CRIT mechanics that produce them are part of her base kit.
