Legends Battlegrounds: Free Shinji End Time and What’s Next
AllThingsHow covers the in-game event calendar for Legends Battlegrounds, the stickman fighting experience from Arts of Vermillion, laying out what is running now and what the developers have lined up next. It is one of the larger combat games on Roblox: it has pulled in about 520,000,000 visits and sits at about 6,000,000 favorites, with roughly about 12,000 players in matches as of October 22.
The headline right now is the Free Shinji update, a major content drop that went live on October 17, 2026 and is scheduled to run through October 31. Interest in it has been enormous, climbing past four million players marking it, which makes it by far the biggest item on the game’s slate. The exact start and end times for every event are listed in the schedule below.
We update this page as Legends Battlegrounds’ schedule changes, so the windows and the lineup stay current as events come and go.

Current and upcoming events
Free Shinji (massive content update)
Free Shinji is the game’s current flagship update. The developers describe it as adding a free Shinji character alongside significant hitbox improvements, a new Early Access fighter, and additional content on top. It opened on October 17, 2026 at noon Eastern (9 a.m. Pacific, 16:00 UTC) and is set to close on October 31, 2026 at the same time, leaving over a week left on the clock.
The scale of interest sets it apart from anything else on the calendar: more than four million players have flagged it (about 4,500,000), a turnout several times larger than the game’s next planned drop. If you want to jump in while it is still live, the end date above is the one to watch.
The next content update
Beyond Free Shinji, the developers have placed a marker for their next content update, but the date and the contents have not been announced yet. In other words, there is a follow-up drop penciled in without specifics attached. It has already drawn well over half a million interested players despite having nothing concrete revealed, which is a reasonable gauge of how closely the community is watching for the next release. When a firm date and details land, they will appear in the schedule above.
