Sonic Unlimited 2: All 7 Chaos Emeralds and Badges (Roblox)

Where the seven emeralds sit, which hidden badges exist, and what the Sonic Boom Universe side quests unlock.

Sonic Unlimited 2 is a Roblox hangout built around a Green Hill-style open map, a lobby full of character morph pads, and a collection layer that rewards poking into every corner. Seven Chaos Emeralds are scattered across the main stage. A handful of badges sit behind monitors, chickens, and a painting that leads to a separate Sonic Boom area. Most of these rewards add new morphs to the lobby, so they double as the game’s unlock system.

Quick answer: Earn the Super Sonic badge by collecting all seven Chaos Emeralds; it unlocks the Super Sonic and Super Shadow morphs. Side quests in the Sonic Boom Universe unlock the Boom characters.

Chaos Emerald locations on the main map

The main map loads through the giant golden ring in the lobby. Every emerald uses the same Chaos Emerald Grab prompt, and a ChaosEmeralds counter on screen ticks up with each pickup. The layout below comes from a recent run of the public release.

EmeraldSpotLandmark
GreenGrassy flatland near spawn hillTree and lantern
PurpleGrass at the base of the cliffCheckered dirt wall
CyanEdge of a raised plateauReached by yellow spring or ramps
YellowGround under the wooden walkwayElevated bridge path

BlueGrass in the tunnel canyonLantern near the village route
RedOn a bounce spring on a high hillTall green ridges

Emerald positions do not line up between playthroughs. Other runs have shown the red emerald on a stone totem and the green one on a ledge near the waterfall, so a missing gem may simply sit elsewhere in your session.

The two ground-level emeralds are the easiest. Green sits out in the open on the grass a short run from where the ring portal drops you in, next to a tree and a lantern.

Purple hugs the base of the checkered dirt cliff. It blends into the grass more than the others, so it is easy to run past on the way to Tails’ workshop. The workshop itself holds no emerald.

The high-ground emeralds call for springs. Cyan rests at the lip of a raised plateau that a yellow spring launches you onto. It only shows as a small glow until you are close.

Yellow works the other way around. It is easiest to spot from the elevated wooden walkway, but it lies on the grass below that walkway.

White is the one most players miss. It sits on top of the long wooden canopy frame near the beach pier rather than anywhere on the ground, so you have to get up onto the beams to see it.

The white emerald is on the roof beams of the canopy, not underneath it. Shown at 03:28 in Jamie the OK Gamer’s video.

Blue lies by a lantern in the canyon passage that leads through the arch tunnel toward the village. Red caps the set from the top of a spring on one of the tall green ridges. The village houses and market stalls hold rings, but no emeralds.

Super Sonic badge: what seven emeralds unlock

The seventh pickup triggers a Badge Awarded Super Sonic notification. That badge adds Super Sonic and Super Shadow to the lobby’s badge character area. Super Sonic swaps to yellow quills and red eyes and can float as well as run. The same reward has also appeared under the badge name “Unlimited Power” in other versions of the game, with identical morphs attached.

Unlocked morphs live through the lobby tunnel marked “Badge Characters this way!” rather than on the main pads next to the standard cast of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, Silver, Eggman, Classic Sonic, and Classic Tails.

Hidden badges in the lobby and main map

Three badges in the main game come from a single click on an easily overlooked object. Each one pops a “Badge Awarded” message when it lands.

The monitor is a Sonic life monitor sitting on the sand by the cliff. Breaking it is the whole interaction, and the badge appears immediately.

The Sparkling Sonic cutout greets you with the line “YOU FOUND THE OG SPARKLING SONIC! HOW DID YOU GET HERE?” Players have also reached it by climbing the lobby ladder. The Pecker chicken is tiny and tucked into a corner, which is why it tends to be the last badge people find. Two other badges sit outside this set. “Welcome to Sonic Unlimited 2!” is granted for joining. “HUE HUE HUE” comes from clicking the Hue Hue picture frame in the open restaurant and unlocks a Hue Hue Metal Sonic morph.

Sonic Boom Universe badges: Shadow’s Package and Sonic Boom

The Boom content occupies a separate area reached through Tails’ workshop. Choose Knuckles’ portrait among the frames on the back wall. When the prompt appears, “Would you like to enter the Sonic Boom Universe?”, select Yes. You’ll then appear on a stone-paved street in a tropical town, with a MONEY: 0 counter and the objective “Look around.”

Shadow’s Package badge

This is a straightforward fetch quest. The box labeled “Shadow’s Package” is in the back storage closet of a small green building. Shadow waits under a palm tree beside the main road. Handing it over earns a curt thanks and the Shadow’s Package badge.

Sonic Boom badge and the $100 Meh Burger

The second quest chains three NPCs together. A brown hedgehog named Someone wants a fox out of his garbage. The fox, sitting in a green dumpster behind his house, agrees to leave in exchange for a burger from Meh Burger. Dave the Intern sells one, but it is national overpriced day, so a burger that normally costs $3.99 goes for $100.

Money comes from gold rings scattered on rooftops, hills, trees, and inside houses around town. Each ring is worth $10, so ten of them cover the bill. Delivering the burger to the fox awards the Sonic Boom badge, which adds Boom Sonic, Boom Tails, and Boom Knuckles to the lobby.

The town also has a few flavor interactions that award nothing, such as oversized condiment bottles, a toaster with a too-short cord, and an outlet bolted to a fence. A note on top of the dumpster reads “August 12, 2036. The heat death of the universe. – ST.” Nothing currently ties it to a badge.

Checking which Sonic Unlimited 2 badges you have

Every reward here confirms itself twice. A “Badge Awarded” banner appears the moment the condition is met, and the matching morph shows up in the lobby’s badge character section. A full set means Super Sonic, Super Shadow, Sparkling Sonic, Sparkling Tails, the Boom trio, Unleashed Sonic, and Pecker are all selectable. If one is missing, the badge list on the game’s Roblox page shows exactly which condition is still open.
