The ninth Scout target in The Division 2’s Red Horizon Manhunt became available on October 20, 2026. The tracker shows Week 9 / 11, leaving two weeks until the season finale. This week’s intel asks who might offer the Cleaners a place to refine new Purple Flame if they capture the airport. The clues point to the Hyenas, who are converting locations into spice labs, and Black Tusk’s medic corps.
Quick answer: Kill 3 named or elite Hyenas, then kill 5 Black Tusk Medics, then capture 2 Hyena Control Points. The objectives unlock one at a time, in that order.
Scout 9 clues and what they mean
Each objective starts as a cryptic hint in the Manhunt menu. It turns into a plain task label once you solve the previous one. Here is what each clue asks for.

Kill three named or elite Hyenas
Named enemies and elites are the ones with a yellow health bar. Only Hyena kills count toward the 3/3 total. Any of the following gets you there quickly:
- Hyena-held open-world activities, such as Public Executions and Territory Control
- Bounties that target Hyena named enemies, ideally on Challenging or Heroic
- Any Hyena activity on a higher world difficulty, which spawns more elites
A single Public Execution on Challenging difficulty can be enough to fill the counter.
Kill five Black Tusk Medics
Medics count from any Black Tusk encounter. Invaded Missions give you the best odds because Medics show up regularly throughout the run. The “Investigate Black Tusk activity – Sweep the Metro platforms” encounter also has several of them. Black Tusk-held Control Points and other open-world activities with Black Tusk work too.
Medics place a healing gadget that covers a wide area and looks unlike anything else on the field. Spot the gadget from a distance and focus the Medic who deployed it.
Capture two Hyena Control Points
Only Control Points held by the Hyenas count. They can be in any district and on any difficulty, though harder settings give better loot and more seasonal XP. MLK Memorial Library is one Hyena Control Point that counts toward the task.
Scout 9 rewards and completion
Objectives 1 and 2 each pay 2 Exotic Components, 2 SHD Calibration and 49,950 XP. Finishing all three tasks pays the bigger Scout reward.

You’ll know it worked when “Scout Activity Completed” pops up, followed by a “Scout Completed” banner listing the +366750 XP and items. An audio transmission between Bobby Guzman and a Black Tusk Representative then plays, and your overall Scout progress rises to 27 percent in the Manhunt: Red Horizon menu.
