MW4 DMZ Counterfeit Orders: Every Task on the First Counterfeit Page

Pick the Counterfeit chapter in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ and the orders screen changes to DMZ ORDERS PG 2, labeled “CHAPTER: COUNTERFEIT 1/2.” The first chapter page is technically the second page of DMZ Orders. It holds three orders: Hostile Force, Robbery, and Execute Intel. They send you to a Police Station, a safe, and a UAV tower in Deadtown.

Quick answer: Clear a Police Station, open a safe and exfil with 5000 in value, then hack a Deadtown UAV tower and loot Counterfeit Cash from pinged NK soldiers. That earns the Recon Drone Recipe and opens page 3.

The Robbery extract line can also read “Extract 5000 Cash Value,” with the number shown after the DMZ cash symbol. Both versions refer to the same task.

The briefing lays out the situation: the North is channeling money through its assault teams, PMC groups, and smugglers. Your assignment is to hack a UAV tower near Deadtown and find samples of their currency. Completing this page grants the item listed as “REWARDS FOR PG2: Recon Drone Recipe.”

Hostile Force: Police Station containers and kills

Police Stations appear on the Tac Map as blue police markers named POLICE STATION. Walk inside one to tick the first line. Then open three containers in the building. A desk drawer counts, and so does a filing cabinet. Kill five soldiers while you are still inside to finish Hostile Force.

Robbery: Opening a safe and extracting 5000 in value

Look for a green metal box fitted with a red electronic lock panel; that is a safe. Military compounds are the easiest places to find a safe. These locations have had safes:

Go to a safe and face its red lock panel. You do not need a key or a code.

Hold interact until the ring fills. The panel turns blue and the door opens, which ticks “Open a Safe.”

Collect the contents. A safe may contain valuables like Nuclear Program Files or Ballistic Flight Logs, and cash is common as well. Put the items in your backpack.

Successfully extract with a backpack and loadout whose combined value is at least 5000. The x/5000 counter advances after a successful extraction.

You can complete the two Robbery tasks in either sequence. The extract objective has registered 5000/5000 even with “Open a Safe” unfinished. If you open a safe and extract with its contents, those valuables count toward the 5000 in the same deployment.

Execute Intel: Deadtown UAV tower and Counterfeit Cash

Travel to Deadtown, in Hajin’s south-west. The township is below Chang-san Air Base and to the west of Imjin Farmland. It is a LOW-threat area and is also home to the Deadtown Re-Education Center.

Don’t mistake the tall lattice mast marked with a skull for the UAV tower; it belongs to a Lieutenant Hunt. Approaching the correct structure brings up the “Activate UAV Tower” side op.

Find the UAV tower itself. It is a camouflaged equipment box with a mast and an open laptop. When you are close, the DMZ Team Leader says over the radio, “There’s a UAV tower in your area. Access it for recon on enemy locations.”

Deal with the guards first. At the ACTIVATE TOWER prompt, interact with the laptop. The “Activate UAV Tower” side op is complete once activation finishes.

Hunt down pinged NK soldiers. Activating a UAV tower marks enemies around it, and five kills on pinged NK soldiers fill the x/5 counter.

Check the bodies of the NK soldiers you killed after pinging them, and collect the Counterfeit Cash. The 0/1 objective ticks when you loot it.

The three lines track separately. The kill and Counterfeit Cash lines have both shown as ticked while “Hack a UAV Tower in Deadtown” was still open. Check that the Deadtown hack itself has a tick before you leave the area.

Finishing Counterfeit 1/2 and unlocking page 3

The orders screen states the rule: “Complete current active page of orders to continue to the next page.” All eight task lines need ticks before anything else unlocks. Once they are done, the Recon Drone Recipe is paid out and CHAPTER: COUNTERFEIT 2/2 opens as page 3. That second Counterfeit page ends with the story mission Operation Silent Ledger. The chapter’s other rewards are listed on the CHOOSE A CHAPTER screen.
