Jang-ui is one of the DMZ Lieutenants in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Jang-ui guards a server hall high inside Netshin Tech Complex in The Grid. The fight is short if you clear the guards first and aim for the head. The reward is an ULTRA rifle worth $11,200.

Quick answer: Enter Netshin Tech Complex on the ground floor, climb the yellow-lit stairwell two flights, clear the corridor guards, then push into the server hall marked “14” and headshot Jang-ui.

Jang-ui location: Netshin Tech Complex in The Grid

Jang-ui sits inside NETSHIN TECH COMPLEX, which is in The Grid. Outside, the compass reads CRITICAL threat for The Grid. When you reach the walled entrance and its steps, the arrival card changes to SOUTH KOREA / NETSHIN TECH COMPLEX / THREAT: EXTREME. Your side op also updates to “Paid Intel: Reach Jang-ui” at this point. The same complex hosts Operation Fallen Ember.

From the entrance, the route to Jang-ui goes straight up through the building.

Go into the building on the ground floor. Look for the interior stairwell lit in yellow.
Climb that stairwell up two flights. Stop at the top, where it opens onto the upper corridor.
As you enter the upper corridor, a banner names the rank as LIEUTENANT, the target as JANG-UI, and the location as NETSHIN TECH COMPLEX. The side op is now “Paid Intel: Kill Jang-ui”.

How to beat Jang-ui in the server hall

The fight takes place in a spacious server hall with a large 14 painted on one wall. Green flooring, server racks enclosed by wire cages, and blue rolling bins offer cover to both sides. Guards are posted along the corridor and at the hall entrance.

Take out the upper-corridor guards, then wait until the passage is clear before approaching the hall.
Advance into the hall, laying down steady, heavy fire. Jang-ui answers with automatic-rifle fire from cover among the bins and racks. Use an LMG to maintain fire on that position as you move closer.
Aim high and go for the head. A headshot finishes Jang-ui.

After Jang-ui is defeated, the game displays SIDE OP COMPLETE and identifies the operation as PAID INTEL: KILL JANG-UI; the side-op entry awards +500 XP. The kill popup reads HEADSHOT KILL / ELIMINATED LIEUTENANT (1218 XP for that headshot kill).

More guards can walk into the hall after the kill. Hold the doorway until they’re dealt with, then loot.

JANG-UI’S DOG TAG comes as a case card that lists BOUNTY $25K, KILLER and TIME OF DEATH. The card also reads “All other operators can see this case’s location on the tac map.” Once you pick it up, expect other squads to know where you are on the way to extraction. Lieutenant dog tags also count toward the Boss Board.
