Every run of Probably Stolen: Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim from Questing Goose Studio and tinyBuild ends in one of 14 endings. You win only by owning the store outright. Unpaid debts, crimes, angry factions and three risky starting perks each lead to a loss.
Quick answer: Probably Stolen has 14 endings: two Buyout wins (buy the store deed, or pay off a mortgage) and twelve losses from missed rent or mortgage payments, Security, faction reputation at -100 and three risky starting perks.
| Ending | Win or loss | How you get it |
|---|---|---|
| Buyout (deed) | Win | Buy the deed from the Landlord in cash |
| Buyout (mortgage) | Win | Pay off a Loan Shark mortgage |
| You Defaulted On Your Rent | Loss | Refuse rent with no grace left |
| Repossession | Loss | Miss a mortgage payment with too little stock for the Loan Shark to take |
| Arrested | Loss | Security case of 300 to 1,499 credits, or an unpaid fine |
| Executed | Loss | Security case of 1,500 credits or more |
| Framed | Loss | Security reputation at -100 |
| Lynched | Loss | Lower Levels reputation at -100 |
| Assassinated | Loss | Upper Levels reputation at -100 |
| Bombed | Loss | Revolution reputation at -100 |
| Retired | Loss | Sector 13 Cartel reputation at -100, or crossing the Cartel |
| Sentinel Collapse | Loss | Skip Immunivax injections (perk only) |
| Augmented | Loss | Aug presence reaches 100% (Aug Menace perk) |
| Meltdown | Loss | Neglect the reactor (perk only) |
If you want a run that keeps going, Endless Mode on the Difficulty screen is the option for that. Its description warns that “Certain scripted events and customers will not spawn”.
Probably Stolen winning endings: Both Buyouts
Buyout (deed)
Wait for the Landlord to come for rent, then buy the store deed from him and pay the full price in cash. On Mark Up, the Calendar on Day 1 reads “The current value of the property is 12000 Credits”. The price goes up a little each day, so buying earlier costs less.

| Difficulty | Deed base price |
|---|---|
| Price Gouge | 12,000 |
| Mark Up | 12,000 |
| Thin Margins | 24,000 |
| Red Ink | 36,000 |
You know it worked when the ending opens with “You sign the deed, and with it, the weight of the rent vanishes, alongside the shadow of the Landlord.”
Buyout (mortgage)
Take a mortgage from the Loan Shark and pay it off in full. Once the last payment clears, the ending text reads “You sign the final papers, and with it, the last chains that bound you to the loan shark are broken.” Missing a payment along the way can lead to Repossession, covered below.
Achievements tied to a Buyout
Both wins unlock Keys to the Kingdom (every achievement is in our achievements guide) (“Own the deed to the store.”). Some conditions on the same run add more achievements:
- Win before day 50 for Prodigious.
- Win on a Rock Bottom run for From Nothing / From Nothing, the Hard Way.
- Win without ever selling stolen goods or contraband for Clean Hands.

You Defaulted On Your Rent
Rent starts at 200 credits every 7 days (see how rent and the Landlord’s grace work). When you refuse to pay, the Landlord may give you grace. Price Gouge and Mark Up start you with one grace, while Thin Margins and Red Ink start you with none. Refuse when no grace is left and the run ends with “As a result of failing to pay your rent, you were evicted.”
Repossession
Miss a weekly mortgage payment and the Loan Shark takes items worth up to that payment, leaving a Repo Slip. If you don’t have enough for him to take, the run ends. The ending reads “It’s the end of the road. The store is taken from you”.
Security losses: Arrested, Executed and Framed
Security builds a case from your crimes, such as selling stolen goods and contraband. The size of that case, counted in credits of crimes, decides what happens when the officer comes.

Arrested
A case worth 300 to 1,499 credits of crimes means arrest. A smaller case gets you a fine instead, but if you cannot pay that fine, you are arrested anyway. The text reads “For crimes against the station, the Security arrested you.”
The full screen continues: “You were locked up in the brig. While serving your sentence, your store was leased to someone else. After your release, with the store lost, you went back to the life of a struggling scavenger.” Inspections that find contraband can trigger it too; see our inspections guide.

Executed
Let the case reach 1,500 credits of crimes or more before the officer arrives. The ending reads “For capital crimes against the station, the Security arrested and executed you.”
Framed
This one does not depend on your case at all. Drop Security reputation to -100 and the By Any Means perk applies: “Security will immediately arrest and jail you, regardless of any evidence they have (or don’t have).” The ending opens with “Arrested by the Security on some trumped up charges, you were thrown in the brig.”
Faction reputation losses at -100
The six factions are Lower Levels, Upper Levels, Security, Black Market, Revolution and Sector 13 Cartel. Reputation tops out at 200, which earns the Diplomatic achievement. Let a faction with a -100 ending fall to -100 to end the run. Security’s outcome is Framed, described above, while Black Market has no -100 ending.
Lynched
Lower Levels reputation falls to -100, triggering Mob Justice: “A mob from the Lower Levels will attack your Store and lynch you.” The ending closes with “This is justice in the Lower Levels.”
Assassinated
Upper Levels reputation falls to -100, triggering Hired Hitman: “A hit will be immediately placed on you by the Upper Levels.” The ending says “a hitman was contracted by the elites of the station to take you out for good.”
Bombed
Revolution reputation falls to -100, triggering Hit list: “A revolution hit squad will be immediately tasked with eliminating you.” The ending reads “After being declared as an enemy of the Revolution, a bomb was planted in your store.”
Retired
Sector 13 Cartel reputation falls to -100, triggering Forced Retirement: “A Cartel Hitman has been dispatched to eliminate you.” Crossing the Cartel in its own dealings leads to the same ending, which reads “The Cartel decided that you were no longer worth keeping around.”
Starting perk and Aug losses
Each of these three endings comes from something you agree to at the start of a run. If you pick one of these perks, plan for its ending from day one.
Sentinel Collapse
This ending is only possible with the Sentinel Collapse Disorder starting perk: “You suffer from a deadly, incurable auto-immune condition and must take a weekly Immunivax injection to stay alive. Start the game with 1 Immunivax Injector.” Skip the injections for too long and the run ends. Our starting perks guide lists every perk and its points. The Mentor’s Note warns “You can afford to miss a few days at the start, but the damage adds up over time.” The ending closes with “It wasn’t an illness that killed you, it was yourself.”
Augmented
This ending triggers when the Aug presence reaches 100% on a run with the Aug Menace starting perk. The Aug Menace starting perk, shown as -1 Perk Point on the perk screen, reads “The Augmented content is unlocked at the start of the game. Earn 25% more credits for killing an aug. The aug menace never ends, and letting too many augs get away ends the game on every difficulty.” The ending opens with “The Aug population reached a critical point and now operates openly.”

Meltdown
This ending is only possible with the Makeshift Reactor starting perk (-1 Perk Point): “You are permanently disconnected from the station power grid and are not affected by blackouts. Start with an upgradable Makeshift Micro Nuclear Reactor sold to you by Dr. Jackson. It powers the Store but needs regular repairs.” Neglect the repairs until the reactor explodes. The ending reads “The makeshift reactor finally gave out due to a criminal level of neglect.”
