The Seven-Stars Formation is a collection tale in the Mandate Encampment. Its only objective reads “Collect the Memory Flowers of the Seven-Stars Disciples”.
Win the Seven-Stars Formation battle first; the disciple flowers appear only afterward. The Chief Disciple of the Seven-Stars Formation stands roughly 9 m from the Tower Rear Exit bell. To locate the bell, see the bell locations.
You never hand the tale in to anyone. It completes the moment you touch the sixth disciple flower. The Memory Flower of the Seven Stars card reads:
“They witnessed how the leadership of the Mandate tore a pair of lovers apart and destroyed a person.
Hatred spread from that moment on, and “Transcension” became fuel for their revenge…”

The two flowers by the Tower Rear Exit
Two additional flowers are beside the Tower Rear Exit bell, at roughly 6 m and 8 m. Red is tied to the one roughly 6 m away, which belongs to the tale Daughter of the Dark Sect. It appears only if Red survived your earlier encounter.
What the formation fight unlocks
The Chief Disciple’s token, Swordsman’s Summon, is most likely the reward for the formation fight. Its lore line reads “A token once used by the Chief Disciple of the Seven-Stars to command the heroes of Wulin.”
Winning the fight also opens the tale The Undying Heroic Spirit. The Wolf Division leader in the Order’s tavern in Pangzhen only offers it once the Seven-Stars Formation is beaten.
