Where the Bi Feng fight is in the Mountain of Imprisonment

Bi Feng stands at the Commander’s Platform beside an enormous, ancient tree decorated with red ribbons. The closest bell on the map is The Lady’s Path. For details on using bells, see the Phantom Blade Zero bells page.

The opening scene plays at the tree. Soul gazes up at the ribbons as Bi Feng rises into view wearing a broad straw hat and pale, skull-like mask, then balances the serrated saber across his hands.

When the scene finishes, the Bi Feng, Giant Saber Commander boss bar appears at the top of the screen to mark the start of the fight.

The arena is the open floor of the platform. The fight uses all of it, so you will pass these spots along the way:

  • A small shrine sits within the trunk of the tree decorated with red ribbons
  • A wooden hall
  • A watchtower
  • Broken fences, crates and walls

The grab has a clear tell: a red flash appears on Bi Feng before he seizes Soul, lifts him with the saber raised, and slams him to the ground.

At close range, he can also string together several saber strikes, with sparks flying when the blades clash.

Tips for fighting Bi Feng

Give the leaping slam a moment after it lands. Rocks keep flying around the impact point briefly.

Be mindful of his attack distance. His sweeps, extended thrust, and circular sweep travel far beyond a close-range gap.

Stay aware of the area around you as the battle carries across the platform, past the hall, watchtower, and red-ribbon tree. Fences, crates, and walls are often close by as you move.

Who Bi Feng is

In the side tale The Broad Saber, Bi Feng is identified as the Old Commander. A Wulin fighter held in a cage says he once used his heavy saber to clear sixty-four bandit camps. The opponent on the platform has since become a corrupted Maskwalker.
