What is live now in Adopt Me, how Compass Coins work, and when the Admin Abuse event runs each week.

Adopt Me is in the middle of its biggest seasonal push of 2026. The current update, Journey to Summer Camp, is now on its second leg, while the weekly Admin Abuse event continues to run as a separate, recurring live session. If you are trying to figure out what to log in for right now, those are the two things that matter.

🧭
Quick answer: The current Adopt Me update is Journey to Summer Camp, a three-week event built around Beaver Bob and a new currency called Compass Coins. Admin Abuse is a separate weekly event that starts every Saturday at 9 a.m. Pacific and lasts about an hour.

Journey to Summer Camp update status

Journey to Summer Camp is a limited-time event that runs for 21 days total, split into weekly legs. It is currently on its second leg. The story centers on Beaver Bob, an NPC whose van has broken down on Adoption Island and needs player help to keep moving toward camp.

Each week follows a travel theme. Week 1 focused on travelling over land, and later weeks shift the theme while adding new rewards. Because the event is time-limited, days you skip mean fewer Compass Coins and a higher chance of missing exclusive pets before the window closes.

How to earn Compass Coins in the Summer Camp activity

Compass Coins are the event currency. You cannot buy them with Robux or Bucks, so the only way to get them is by playing the activity. They are separate from your normal balances and will likely stop being usable once the event ends, so spend them before the timer runs out.

Head to Adoption Island and find Beaver Bob’s van parked along the road. The van is the central hub for the whole event, so it is hard to miss once you are in the area.
Fill a bucket at the nearby water sources and carry it back to the van. This water is used to cool the van’s radiator, which is the core mechanic that gets Beaver Bob moving.
Pour the water onto the radiator to cool it down. Once the temperature drops low enough, the van starts driving forward. Several players pouring at once speeds this up dramatically.
Ride alongside the moving van and collect the Compass Coins it drops roughly every 60 seconds. The van follows the same set route every time, so after a few runs you can position yourself ahead of where the next coin lands.
Take your coins to the Summer Camp shop and exchange them for pets and accessories. You will know it worked when your Compass Coin total updates and the shop lets you confirm a purchase.
💡
Tip: Focus on the Bison pet first. It costs the most Compass Coins of any free reward, and you can pick up cheaper accessories later with leftover coins.

Week 1 Summer Camp pets and rewards

Week 1 introduced one headline pet plus a set of outdoor-themed cosmetics. The Bison is a Rare-tier pet you can earn entirely with Compass Coins, so it requires no Robux. The Beaver Bob Bundle is the only way to get the Ranger Beaver Pet, which cannot be earned through gameplay.

Admin Abuse weekly schedule and start time

Admin Abuse is a recurring live event that was introduced on November 1, 2025. It takes place every Saturday at 9 a.m. Pacific and runs for roughly one hour. During the session, the developers or approved hosts temporarily use admin powers to change how the game behaves, then everything resets when the event ends.

The point is short bursts of chaos that reward active players. Common perks include Bucks boosts, Pet XP boosts, Super Speed, sticker packs and gifts, and limited-time or non-tradable pets. You will often see global messages from admins and spawned activities across Adoption Island while it is live.

There is no separately announced one-off date beyond the standing weekly schedule. Treat the Saturday 9 a.m. Pacific start as the time to plan around, and confirm with in-game announcements before joining.

Note: The Admin Abuse window typically runs every Saturday, but special dates can shift the schedule. Log in 10–15 minutes early to claim a spot in a public server.

Recent Admin Abuse events and rewards

The event has kept a steady pattern of 3× Bucks, 3× Pet XP, and Super Speed, with extra boosts layered on during holidays. Recent sessions added Admin Abuse Boxes and themed activities like tag and trivia.

To get the most from both events, keep your pets equipped so they soak up Pet XP during Admin Abuse, and stay near the busy areas where rewards tend to drop. For Summer Camp, log in for short daily sessions, learn the van’s loop, and clear your Compass Coins on the Bison before reaching for cosmetics. Both windows are time-limited, so the players who show up consistently are the ones who walk away with the full lineup.
